• Ep 3 & PSO Plus In USA

    Ketchup345 writes, "According to Nintendo Power Issue #176, Episode 3 will be a Gamecube Exclusive. Also, PSO+ will be available in the U.S. (from what I understand) around the same time: "PSO 1&2 Plus should hit stores around the same time as PSO III..."     Does this sound like a official confirmation? Also at www.nintendo.com, they have a page up for Ep 3 with a stated release month of February 2004. Don't know how accurate that is, since it also says it's 1 player. No PSO Plus page though!

      The only positive thing is that the double-save will not be on this version.

      The bonus's on the side tho are bleh.

      Will characters from PSO eps. 1&2(regular) for GC be able to transfer to the eps. I&II plus?

      You do realize that more people play the GCN version than the 'Must pay $70 a year to have access to anything' version thats on Xbox. "BURN"

      As far as PSO+ is consered, I'd rather keep my items.

      Tsk tsk, Live subscriptions only cost $50 a year. Still, enjoy paying $35 for a crappy adaptor that will be used by...at most...5 games.


      If you'll excuse me, I'll go enjoy my 70+ xbox live titles.

      I've been a Nintendo Power subscriber for 14 years now, and believe me, they don't always know what they're talking about. I think in the same issue, they said that Sonic Heroes was a GameCube exclusive, and we all know perfectly well that it's not. It's just coming out on GameCube first. So take that comment with a grain of salt. PSO Episode I & II was a GameCube exclusive... until the Xbox version was announced. The only thing they know is that the game is coming out on the Cube first. Personally, I'd wait for an official announcement from Sega/Sonic Team before jumping to any conclusions.

      When all else fails.... wait for the boxart...anymore that's the only way you can tell what is really nintendo exclusive. PSO Ep I & II didn't have the little "Only For" decal.

      hey you all cut the flame war shit please. we all play PSO here, you wanna go flame people about consoles go to IGN or GameFAQs, not PSOW. No one consoles version is better than the others. And dont turn that into a flame bait, its true. Same game both ways cept for voice chat and more users on one version.

      Wasn't it originally just suppose to be on the cube, but MS bought the rights to the game or something...

      I remember reading that PSO for NGC is 100% Sega made and published (Or something to that effect), but the Xbox version was put out by MS after they ported it to their system.

      You're never going online with your Cube, sorry buddy. I know it's frusterating, but it's a sad truth. It's not the game itself it's AOL's protocal regarding sources other than computers and mobile phones. AOL is not the only provider that does not allow you to connect with a game console, but it's certianly the largest of them. It clearly states that on the packages for the modems and Nintendo.com's help section on the matter.

      i think u should never ever trust a one-console-only

      mag or site, they can't be objective about games on their system and will twist the truth so "their" gamesystem looks better, and with better games.

      as for pso ep3 on xbox, i dont think that's not happening cause there are way more players on gc pso that will buy ep3 as on xbox for the xbox players just play games u can play online with xbox live and dont like to pay extra for the hunters license. while on the cube u dont have that kind of "service" so u just pay the hunters licence.

      still... why believe me when japanese developers somtimes do things nobody understands.

      like nintendo not releasing animal crossing in europe.

      and doshin the giant in the US.

      Every gamer magazine is full of shit. I never agree with any of their reviews and they never seem to know anything. They look at games WAY before they actually come out and a lot of times people will get excited over a game and suddenly its scrapped or moved to a different system. All in all don't believe magazines, they suck, and lie more than any government official EVER.
