Magas Maggahna is a powerful, large, mechanical boss that possesses a wide variety of attacks. It has a machinegun built into its right arm and can extend a massive sword from its left. In addition to its chest cannon, it can launch several homing missiles at one time. For protection, the Magas Maggahna can erect a shield that will temporarily make it immune to all attacks.
This boss can be fairly problematic once its base is destroyed. Magas Maggahna is fairly mobile and hunters will only be able to attack its arms. It can stun players with its arm smash and inflict a lot of damage with its 360 degree sword slash. Also, once the core is destroyed, two sets of photon blades will be exposed. These can inflict damage if Magas Maggahna charges you. The core can be left intact for the duration of the fight if players focus solely on attacking the arms.
