The reason you got an email is because you signed up for a NEWSLETTER. Someone stated the original thing was a beta signup, but it's not. Just a newsletter for giving info ABOUT but the beta signup.

Also, to people thinking this won't be JP only, you MIGHT need to use a Japanese (home) address when signing up like alot of betas require for the location they're doing the beta for.

This and most of the other betas before it were JP only. There are plenty of people who will get it if they want it. You just have to look in the right places.

It's going to be so hacked that it's almost funny...

I can't say that'd be at all suprising. Really not a whole lot can be done to prevent it. PC pretty much has 500 'hacking tools' that are INCLUDED (hell even notepad can be a hacking tool). The only real thing you can do is ignore people playing hacked, and try to enjoy it.

"PC"? you mean the OP system? your probably thinkin windows since most ppl have windows op systems running on their home pc's. And 500 may be over doing it.... i dont even think windows comes with 500 applications all together dont quote me on that though. All you need is the know how and a hex editor and notpad... sometimes a few other tools come in handy...

umm, chars are gonna be saved on thier servers so that should prevent hacking alot.

Alot of people have been saying that, but I just think someone mistranslated.

Do you REALLY think that the chars would be saved online?

What happens to the 56k, one phone line players that want to find a weapon with the drop rate of 1/20000 or whatever..

How will enemy parts be converted?

How would you unlock new areas (ie caves) without beating them offline first?

How is a beginner character going to survive the first few levels? (Keep in mind the enemies online are much tougher)

It simply doesn't make sense that characters would be online or offline only. MUCH would need to change.. alot of rebalancing would need to happen. Now I'm not saying this WON'T happen, I'm just saying I think there was a mistranslation along the way.

It wouldn't be very suprising to me if sonic team overlooks the things I said above.. not like they haven't rushed something before.
