• Maintenance Period Announced for January 19th [Rescheduled]

    GM Edward has posted about a maintenance period for Monday at 11 PM PST. This would be 2 AM EST or 7 AM UTC on January 20th. Currently, it is unknown what the maintenance is for or how long it will last. It has been said that more details will be arriving soon.

     

    Update: Maintenance has been rescheduled for January 20th at 10 PM PST. During this maintenance, a new Title Update will be released for the Xbox 360 and a patch for the PC/Playstation 2 servers. Here are some of the details for the update:

    • It is now impossible to remove players between the 'Trial End' and 'Mission End' phases of a mission.
    • All players in a party will be notified if a rare mission becomes available.
    • Attack TECHNICS above level 30 will now be displayed as a level 21 effect to other users.
    • Photon Charges will now recharge both weapons in a two-handed setup to 100%.
    • Party lists at the mission counter will now be displayed in a new order.
    • Several bugs will be fixed.

      Well it's the weekend, so I'm not sure if we'll be hearing much more. I would expect most of it to be announced earlier that day. They probably just wanted to make sure we were given a few days notice.

      It has been posted in the forums already, but this downtime is being moved to later this week. Servers will stay up tonight and the maintenance issues will be taken care of at the same time as normal maintenance on Thursday. More details on what the maintenance will include to come soon.

      All i got to say is about frakn time... this should of been done on day one.

      im going to miss everyone seeing my level 36 megid. people liked it and i never got one bit of complaint from lag. tsk come on people to play psu at its fullist you need fast internet.

      they should have just blocked the lvl 41 spells. those bring the real lag-fest. now techers have nothing to show off

      so that means if i have level 50 spells would they display level 21 when players are viewing my spells? i hope not. because i worked hard to make it to 50 and put hours into it and to show it off...lol

      After reading what is going down tonight with this maintenance I got really happy when I read about all the bug fix's. The only thing that was A big let down was the Tech's being displayed as lvl 21 tech's!!!! This, for me, is going to kill my MasterForce!!!! Every morning as well as at night, before I went to bed and after I had been running missions all day, I would spend a few hour's just leveling spells!!! Now to hear all that work was in vain is a BIG BLOW to me!!! Now if the Technics still come off as level 41 to me, but only 21 to others then the blow is not as bad, but still a blow none the less. I know this was done to make all the other players happy who aren't playing as Force's or MasterForce's and who are experiancing slow down, but what about making the non Ank Jabroga or Tornado Dance user's happy by not allowing these attacks to knock enemy's all over the place! There is now no real way to tell apart the ForteTecher's or MasterForce's without a player telling you. Even as a ForteTecher this would upset me to play all this time with Technics maxed at level 40, just to have them reverted back to a lvl 21 Technic. Maybe these blow's would not be as bad if the MasterForce class had somthing given to them to compensate for this, but number one, we would have to have more people than just my self to complain about the Technics just as the MasterForce's were complained on, and number two, the compensation would have to be BIG!!!!!!

      Well I'm sure all of you techers are upset, and well, you have the right to be, but actually think about, your ruining the experience for others by lagging them out so bad. If people are really interested in your techs they can view them manually. Believe me, there are a lot of people who get upset at lagging techs, I don't know how you could have never gotten a complaint because i was hearing about it all the time, many of the people i ran with say that this is a good idea. Personally, i like this update and think that it should have occurred right when the new classes were released.

      Just wondering with this new tec fix if you can still get your tec pas above level 21 or is that going to be max for tecker pas now? Because personally I like the additional form they gain once leveled up over 21 , also wish weapon pas got a fourth form( for 2 handed weapons) when you level the pa past 30 and a third form for the single handed weapons like the claw and saber! give you something 2 work for in my opinion and put the pa leveling 2 some good use because at this point in time you gain nothing from a weapon pa that is 21 versus 30+ other than a minimal boost to your attack if your lucky!

      Your PA's will still level up like normal, With the max being at 50, but no one but the caster will be able to see a level 31, or 41 tech. So to everyone else, it doesn't matter what level your tech's are, after 21 they all look the same. Skills and bullets remain unchanged, although i do like your idea of adding a fourth combo to some weapons and/or skills

      The Techs from the very beginning have always been shown in their lvl 31 glory. This should not change now. I agree the Master Force class being cut back to all others only seeing level 31 techs, but this is a total let down and a slap in the face to all Fortetechers. Even on Sega's web site you will read FT's have the most impressive looking techs. There has never been any fine print saying "note: impressive to none but yourself" Justice has not been served and I can only hope other techers will bind together to let their voices be heard. Keep the lvl 31 techs like they have been and should be. Limit only the Master Class due to massive slow down that comes with lvl 41 techs. All in favor?

      That's so bad...What next? Even this update shows, when they go to fix a slow down problem with a level, they down dumb down the graphics of the level, they fix the problems! Really, why not just go turn Desert Goliaths graphics into Dreamcast's caves? - surely the slow down will be gone then...right?
      This doesn't make sense, the techers will even remain in a cloud of their own lag. I have played all the main classes, and from what I noticed, hunters only get the worst of it because they are right in it more often than not. A Gi-spell still lags the techer, compared to a Ra-spell from the techers prospective usually isn't as bad. From that observations it makes much more sense to me to be allowed to zoom your camera out, away from the lag, go far enough and it should be less disrupting to your playing, or an even more realistic fix would be them removing or lessening some of the particle effects.
      The least they could have done for us would have been to make this an option, allowing the players to decide if they want to see 21 or 31, 41...for all the players, techers included.
