• Sega Disconnects All Online Games For DC Except PSO

Joe-Azlin writes, "Sega postes this announcement: Attention Dreamcast Gamers - important news regarding online gaming services!

As we continue to focus on the future, it is time for us to disconnect our online Dreamcast game servers. Effective June 2003, the only Dreamcast titles that Sega will continue to support online are Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Online ver. 2. No other Dreamcast titles will be playable online after this time.

We hope you enjoyed our online gaming services that were extended six months beyond the original shutdown date. Thank you for supporting Dreamcast online gaming!
    "

So now, this wil dispell all the rumors of PSO ver 1 and 2 shutting down.

Considering most online DC games havent worked since October 2002, this isnt a surprise. Bomberman hasnt worked properly ever. Good Job Sega..?

I have played since PSO original on DC and then went to version 2 and my version 2 account disconnected and was impossible to renue since 3 to 4 months after its realease what that was like christmas 2001 when GC came out maybe even before that. DC got dumped hard. Bad move sega sega should have said nothing and just supported it it would have sold more and still have some games new even if they dropped it slowly with out saying anything it would have been better then what happened
