    Schedule for New Xbox Live Features
    Xbox Live will be down for planned maintenance at 12:01am Pacific Daylight Time on August 14th for an estimated eight hours. This is part one of a four-part rollout of new Xbox Live features. Here?s exactly what?s coming with each part of the upgrade:

    August 14th
    At 12:01am PDT, we will perform routine server maintenance to keep the service running as smoothly as possible. Despite a lot of speculation in online forums and in the press, the upgrade will begin and end on August 14th.

    August 25th
    You'll see a fresh new Web site at www.xbox.com/live. This will include an option for Xbox Live subscribers to use their Gamertags to log on to a special area of the site called My Live. Here subscribers will be able to see their Friends Lists and what games their friends are playing on Xbox Live.

    A few days later , you'll see the birth of XSN Sports, a Web site powered by the same technology as the new Xbox Live Web site. XSN Sports will enable Xbox Live subscribers to create leagues and tournaments for NFL Fever 2004 and other XSN Sports titles coming later this year.

    Mid-September
    We'll release an update of the Xbox Dashboard. The new Xbox Live Dashboard, called Xbox Live Now, will give subscribers the ability to see their Friends List, see what their friends are doing, and send game invites. It will also display their stats and provide a common place to voice chat with friends before and after Xbox Live games."

      YOUR DAMN RIGHT, WAT IS THE HOLD UP? SO FAR IM SEEING HELLA UPDATES FOR THE GAMECUBE AND PC EVEN THE DREAMCAST HAD MORE DLS WHEN IT FIRST CAME OUT, IF THEY DONT UPDATE THE XBOX VERSION PRETTY SOON IM GOING TO CANCEL MY PSO, SINCE ITS NOT WORTHING AND ITS GETTING HELLA BORING, COME ON ALL IWANT IS MOP UP!!!! SO I CAN LEVEL UP FASTER

      i am still expecting a huge freakkin update to come out of NOWHERE that will give us EVERYTHING the gamecube has. Well proberly not everything. but like 98% of it.

      WTF are you on about...this announcement is for LIVE not freaking PSO...lol. These features are amazing and will improve XBOX LIVE no end.

      Okay and since this site is called psoworld not xbox live world, wth good will any xbox live improvements benefit the gameplay of PSO? none. I guess you dont mind getting screwed out of 9 dollars a month for nothing.

      u can aleast put new quest in! gamecube has tere quests why can't we!? thats not fair.

      Xbox live is used for PSOX, hence the news. If you want to be quick to make moronic statements like " this site is called psoworld not xbox live world", I say go do a different PSO site.

      Sonic Team announce new additions to PSOX not Microsoft. This announcement is for the generic XBOX LIVE.

      omg really..xbox live is used for PSOX...what a revelation.

      The reply for the the post by AndyPandy not the main one...note re, not parent

      And im not ranting the main post. Im just saying my words on what i think of microsoft's response to PSOXers wanting more content. NOT that psoworld is in anyway responsible or is wrong in anyway for posting information about xboxlive.

      And btw I love psoworld, they keep you a lot more up to date than xboxlive.com.

      your expecxting too much...by the time they do patch the patches will come in small doses and by the time that happens ill be making true fantasy live world...which is the only reason i play pso which is to keep me busy till TFL the only advantage we get is voice chat which people rarely use anyway the only way this game will get good on xbox is if they patch us dont require us to pay get rid of hackers...and...something else...

      i know, and i also know that Microsoft fought to not have the 8.95/mo fee for us as well, but Sonic Team had to have it to support their updates. My question is if Sonic Team has so many updates for gcube, whats the hold up for xbox? Have they already handed over the updates to Microsoft to upload to the servers. Or does Sonic Team just not care about the supporting the PSOX gaming community? Just questions...

      And so true about True Fantasy, I cant wait for that!! Also, I hope FFXI turns out to live up to its hype.

      Yea Right i like to see the day when that happens. i think every one is gettin sick of the word going around that all these New!! update's. i just wanna no why is GameCub Gettin all the suppport and why is Xbox left in the dirt!!! Tell you the Truth i like two no when Sega is going to do something.. o and anthor thing why are we always gettin kicked off line all due to the sever's are being worked on. i mean come on and the thing that made me mad is when i am workin my ass off to level up.i think some people can agree on me when i say were is our Damn update's.!!

      Microsoft only has a little to do with about the the updates for pso. Sonic Team is the the one mostly cuz i think there the one's that are updateing pso. the werid thing is Camecube. why are they all updateing frenzy.Hmmm let me think could sonic team like Came cube better then Xbox well tell you the truth i don't no whats up . well only time could tell so keep waiting cuz sooner or later will get the updates.

      This is just a possibility but maybe sonic team is shafting psox players so ms may be taking it upon them selves to to do what they can to give

      us something by giving us those updates. It may

      not be much but these are things that no other console can do. So I give them the benefit of the doubt after all xbox is american made so not getting much love from some foreign companies wont surprise me one bit.
