Anyone remember this lovely item from PSO? When you used it anywhere, it changes the BG music of the entire area~nyo.
I thought it was pretty nifty~nyo.
Lol, Wedding Music during Dark Falz fight >.>.

Any chance Sega would bring these back~nyo? o.o

I enjoy some nice fast techno music... If we had that for bosses I would own it even more...
with my 30 dammage.

I listen to random soundtracks when I play PSU. =x
I just wonder if they'd bring back the music disc item so uhh...the music can blend in more naturally instead of you making it blend in~nyo. >_> ANd some people are on PS2/Xbox, so you have to keep that in mind~nyo.
Besides, who doesn't love the BG music changing to wedding music during an intense boss fight~nyo? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

It would be fun to hop into the club, change the throbbing dance beat techno to something cheezy, then run like mad from the imminent volley of glowsticks hurled my way.

I have a question...

What does "nyo" at the end of your post mean??

Oh, it's my sentence closer for AIM and message boards~nyo.
It's from Di Gi Charat. =x
Nyo means meow in Japanese, although in Di Gi Charat, the main character uses ~nyo at the end of like all her sentences~nyo.

Hope this clears some confusion up~nyo. =x

This wouldn't really work for the 360 with the custom music thing. Half the people probably wouldn't know you changed the music.

Based on the item lists I've seen, music discs do not appear to be in the game.

Ryna, we're voting on whether we should have them or not.

As for me, hell yeah! Burning Rangers FTW! XD

OMG yes! And wow, the PSO memories this brings back.

*pops in a Burning Ranger disc while in party* BURRNING RANNGGGEERS!
*another party member pops in a Nights disc, overriding the previous Burning Ranger disc* some little kid screeching: In the nights dream delight...
Me: "OMG NOOOOOOOO!"

Well, either way, they would win. If they don't come out, we can only reminisce about the Burning Rangers... However, there is a Burning Rangers room dec... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_mad.gif

Yeah, it'd be great if they only put in a Burning Rangers disc, but hey, if you have an old installation of PSOBB lying around on your PC, you can play it right now. The file is called Heart.ogm in the data/ogm folder.

I always had the #3 Disc (Burning Rangers!) when me and Gaz played. We were the Burning Chao Rangers...!

God that was fun. I wish those would return in PSU.

Slightly off-topic, but which mission plays Tricktrack, is that Bruce's Dungeon?

Apparantly Bruce's.

Votes for:
Burning Rangers theme. Both Japanese and ultra-cornball US-version.

NiGHTS theme ("Dreams Dreams")...but the "adult vocal" cut.

The Chu-Chu theme, for when I feel like pissing a bunch of people off all at once.

The INSTRUMENTAL version of "His World" from Sonic the Hedgehog-2006.

Green Hill Zone music.

...and (tho it will never happen)...the "Rock Solid" techno nightclub theme from Conker: Bad Fur Day. (The N64 version, not the terrible Live and Reloaded Xbox remix.)

Of course, it's not the same, but you Xbox 360 owners could always burn a CD with tracks that you want, put them on a playlist, and set the thing on "Custom Soundtrack" and play the stuff in a loop...

Only if it's an orcheastated version this time.

MIDI-sounding music on my Xbox 360 would be thoroughly unacceptable...hell, MIDI-sounding music is STILL unacceptable on the GameCube...

Live and Learn would be nice to have too. When did that ever play in PSOBB, btw?

There are a number of different Sega tunes within the game data, though. Namely, "This Is My Happiness" from Space Channel 5 and the theme tune from Feel The Magic XX/XY, along with a good few PSO tunes tucked in there aside from "Tricktrack" ("Nostalgia in Solitude -PART 2-", and "Day Dawns" among them).

Seeing as we're getting "Tricktrack" as a backing in Bruce's Dungeon, one can only guess that the other tunes will feature in quests somehow. Although there's no sign that there'll be something as splendegloriffic as a music disc type quest, yet. I don't think the Perfect Bible even makes any mention of such a thing.
