I see it has over 3 million is that from just 360 or is it from ps2 and gc and do they all play on the same universe?

Mod edit: Changed the title, to avoid confusion, and to avoid it being moved again. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Okay, your question confused the hell out of me.

1. This forum is for PSU, not PSO.

2. PSO isn't on 360 or PS2.

3. PSU isn't on GC.

So we don't know what game you're talking about lol

I think it's for the PC/PS2 servers and the Xbox, but no they are not connected...however, I do have a tendacy of being wrong so don't take my word for it.

EDIT: To make things a bit clearer. PC/PS2 US and Japan servers and Xbox servers. I'm not sure if that is true but I think it would be.

Well the NA pc/ps2 can't be much more than 30000 (30k) since that is the highest account number i've seen.

regardless of what console it is, unless its JP i feel its a little too tiny...

Dont get me wrong, small tight knit communities are cool, but as evidenced by the hacking and duping going on, they can also be very easily broken.

QFT

It's sad because it's ruining everyone's fun.

I didn't pay to get hacked!

i kind of like the small community its sort of like a neighborhood you see some of the same people everyday and some new ones too.

yah, but are neighborhood is stuck in the middle of the worlds largest counterfeiting scheme ever. theres the problem.

HOW ARE YOU GOING TO BREAK IT TO YOUR NEWMAN CHILDREN THAT BECAUSE YOU ONLY PAID 10$ A MONTH THEY MUST LIVE IN CONSTANT FEAR AND INSANE OVERPRICING?!

=O

thats what I thought youd say.

Highest ID number I've seen so far was over 36000.

Taking a guess, I'd say that there are probably 200,000 people worldwide playing PSU.

Actually last I heard the JP PC/PS2 servers had almost that many players. It isn't 3 million it is maybe 300,000. 200,000 on JP servers plus 32,000 or so on US plus another 36,000 on 360. So that would not quite be 300,000.

well my newman fortegunner friend the overpricing doesnt bother me that much since i found good shops at good prices, and the fact that when i buy materials i go to npc stores or look on the ground. if i go to player shops its only for specific elemental weapons like earth breaers(got one for 600 meseta) or bulbs(got a light one for 10k

So far I have really enjoyed the small community on the 360 server and I have yet to see any real proof that the 360 version is hackable.

I see it has over 3 million

I'm not sure where Sega is hiding this army of 3 million users but I sure would like to get some of them added to my now barren wasteland I call a friend's list.

The PS2/PC servers will never hit the 50,000 user mark to be blunt (unless Australia has 10,000 PSO fans willing to join our cause.) I'd take an educated guess in saying there's less then 5,000 users still playing this game in North America.

My friends list has gone from fourty people (eleven of them being awesome friends) to two people. Everyone slowly vanished just before and after the Christmas update. The three of us left standing are all very devoted, patient, and forgiving players, yet we are having an extremely hard time finding it within ourselves to pay for another month.

Not to turn you off to this game if your thinking of just getting it! This game does have a good 100-400 hours of life in it. I've had a very enjoyable experience.

Were a dying breed of Bounto and those at Sega Team are ready to Bankai us all.

I very much doubt there are only 5000 users, what with a clear 4000 or so on at peak times, that is those that are visible via the stars on the PC and 360 version, not even counting the amount scattered across the universes (there has to be 100+ players in a uni to get a coloured star iirc).

There are under 200K regged on jp, and 65+K regged on PC/360 NA versions.

There are are over a quarter of a million registered accounts therefore.

I agree with your figures Shimarisu. However, I'm only talking about my current server being the North American PC/PS2 servers. They truly are in a bad state. Sure we have 30,000 - 36,000(?) total registered accounts. But all of the cancelled and inactive accounts are still used in this so called 36,000 total. Our registered users are going up, but were still losing population.

At peak times Universe One is full, Universe Two has 2-5 stars, and Universe 15 has 0-1 stars. There's no way our server has 5,000 active users at the moment when we barely fill two Universes during peak hours.

I can vouch for those numbers, Lastat. I know it must be getting bad when before I used to be able to just wander into random parties, but these days I'm more often than not invited via mail to groups because they can't gather enough people. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

The population could be just 10-15 total...and I would still play the fook outta this game.

But damn if Wows expansion isn't seductive...

I think you may find the update on the 12th brings many of the people on your list back from the dead =)

People have this tendancy to vanish before a major update saying 'well, I'll just kill time until X'. It's happened in WoW, and I'm pretty sure it's happening here too. I have a number of friends who are 'looking forward to Bruce's Dungeon' and who seem to have vanished for the last week or so.

We'll see ^.^

You're all being ridiculous. The population of PSU isn't anything like 200k or 500k. It's 500 million. Yeah. True story.

Last night I got an Error 53: Disconnected due to high player traffif and was disconnected while playing PSU. Such an error wouldn't happen with only what, 200k? 500k? No, it takes 500 million.

BTW it's not a true story. The error message is, but not 500 million people. Wasn't even two full stars last night when it happened.
