Hey guys...isn't it a lot cheaper to buy a network card for like $10, install it, then hook the GC up to that? If so, I would need to set up a proxy so that the signal from the new network card is passed to the existing network card, which will then communicate with my cable modem, correct?

How would I go about doing all that? Please help...I'm unwilling to spend good money just to buy a stupid router so I can play this game online http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

I found a great web page with advice on setting up Ethernet on Gamecube with connection sharing, routers, or whatever:

http://www.xbox.com/LIVE/connect/choose.htm

Every time it says Xbox, think Gamecube, and it will work.

You would want ICS, internet connection sharing.

ICS is available in Windoes 98SE and Windows ME. It's all bonded into Win2k and WinXp. Don't forget that you need a crossover cable.
