For those of you who take zero damage from megid....

What is your character type, level, job level, and armor? I'm trying to get a rough idea of what I'll need.

I'm a male newman, level 60, fortetecher level 6 currently.

From what area? I'm pretty sure Jarba Megid and Deljaban Megid are way different level wise.

Newmn with a 10% Dark ele armor with mega/rainbow on at the lvl of 60 with eclass 10 can make you immune

I'm leaning more towards Deljaban megids at the moment but I'll take any info I can get at this point.

DJ... would you say that the star level of the armor is important? Would a 5 star armor like assino-senba work or would I need something that is 6 stars such as hoza-senba? Put it to you this way...if I can craft a 20% assino-senba do you think I'd be ok? I'm looking to make this armor myself so if I can save some money that would be great.

Its resistance towards the techs so yea, any armor would seem fair. You can go for a 20% assino-senba dark and be resistant to megid, but you will need high MST too.

It's best to go Female Newmn since they have higher resistance (MST). I think around 450+MST with the assets of the equipments would help alot.

My friend falls under these assets using a 16% assin-senba gets 0 damage from megid. This is from LL-S.

OOOooo I was wrong. You need over 500+ MST with the help of % from Armor. currently my friend has 537

I was wrong again. As you can see, each armor has a set MST given.
http://psupedia.info/index.php?title=Armors

So basically... With the added amount of MSt together if you currently have 537 MST, wearing Hoza-Senba with 50%, will give you well over 680 MST. Far enough to defeat megid's death rate XD

If I were you, I would go for Hoza.

Female, Newman, Fortecher 5, Character 60, 16% Dark Nafri-senba w/ Mega / Rainbow.

Edit: 618 MST with the armor equipped, 488 without it.

Edit 2: This is Unsafe Passage S and Fight for Food S megid - not Jarba megid on any level. I don't go to Parum that much.

So safe to say that only newman forces will ever be safe from megid? or can high% armor give us beasts/casts/humans a chance?

Female Human Fortetecher 60/10 with 38% Dark Nafri-senba.. I take 0 damage from Megid in Unsafe Passage S and Fight for Food S.

On the other hand.. Jarba's Megid in sealabs hit from 60-140 and will kill me at times. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

With 25%+ dark A-rank armor, Rainbow, and stel/mind you should be able to pull off immunity with... ohh... about 200-225 MST. Thats not too too unreasonable to ask for. Though thinking about it, I'm not sure if I'm thinking with reital or not... Oh well, you all are getting Reital in a few days anyways.

This means, All fortechers can become immune (female cast at 60/10 is 200 even, male is 188). Newman wartechers and guntechers can become immune. Everything else probably needs a bit more umph. Um... with some really high grade armor, I think human wartcher and guntecher may have a chance. But they'd really need an extra push (about 150 MST for each).

EDIT: Correct me if I'm mistaken though, but I'm pretty sure lats time I was in LL S, I was getting dealt in the teens. But its been a while, maybe I'll go test my damage intake there later. But I'm only wearing a store bought 6* tenora armor. Some 25% dark A-rank GRM armor should notch off atleast 20 damage.

Just use dark armor and get mst as high as u can. My guntecher isn't immune, but resists pretty well, lvl 44 without dark armor and 44 mst. Must be luck maybe (yes, casts have low mst).

Heh yeah I take 0 damage in Linear Line S and i'm immune. Then again I need to synth 50% dark armors ^.^

I did some research with this, and I think you need about 540MST to be safe

Newman Female Fortetecher 49/3

Base MST = 380
Hoza-senba = 100
Dark 14%
Mega/Rainbow 8%
Sta/Mind 30

Total = 532 MST

and I get hit for about 3 or 4 by megid in LL S - still kills, but not very often. I think 1 more level should do http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Doesn't megid also have a chance to instant kill, or does that only work if it does over 0 damage?

Has to do at least one point of damage. Bel Pannon Barta stopped working on me a long time ago, whenever I see someone get frozen I'm like, "Oh yeah, they're an inferior being, don't have the newman MST." http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

I finally crossed the bare minimum threshold for immunity yesterday. Megid does 0 damage, at least in Unsafe Passage S. Fight For Food S will probably still kill me.

Female Newman
Level 52
Fortetecher 5
Ageha-Senba 22% dark
Mega/Rainbow
Gi/Magic
Mega/Stamina (not sure if this matters)

I can check on my actual MST later if you want.

People are immune to Megid already??? Geez, that was fast. So you dont need 100% resist? Just a decent armor & MST? Not bad. Should I make a Force, Ill have to take this into account. Hell, for ANY of my chars, this would help in The Hive.

MST has to do with it? That's why beasts like me get raped there.

OdinTyler

LOL And Casts have it worse than that! Im still hoping my Cast improves his MST just to be able to use better wands for basic buff spells.

Wait, does that mean I can use a retaride to boost my megid resistance?

Yes, that would be great. Your base MST and the value with armour equipped. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

WEll they do increase your TP & MST, so it's worth a shot. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif Although with an already low base, it may not work as dramatically well.

I'm looking at my stats right now.

Base MST = 416

With Ageha-Senba 22% dark + Gi/Magic = 517

Note that I'm also wearing a Mega/Rainbow which I'm sure makes a difference, a Mega/Stamina which I'm not so sure makes a difference.

I just stood around a few minutes ago, nuked at my leisure and ate plenty of megid. Definitely immune.

I might have been immune yesterday when I was 51, but I didn't test much so I won't make that claim.

/edit

I just realized that my MST is actually lower than Pob's, yet I'm completely immune to Megid in Unsafe Passage S. The only thing I can think of is that the dark% on my armor is higher, so that may be a better area to emphasize on if you want Megid immunity.

Thx for the info. If your MST is shown as 517, you have to add on (22% + 8%) * 81 since your armour has 81 MST with 22% dark and a Mega/Rainbow.

So, effectively, you have 541 MST against dark, which makes you immune. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

As I said above, mine is effectively 532, which isn't quite enough...
