I finally got my hands on 3 (Tylor, Mirei and Renvolt) of the 5 figures from the Phantasy Star Universe Figure Collection which I got off ebay. The figures are imports by Sega Toys and stand about 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 inches on their bases. I still need the other two, Mirei and Ethan, but have yet to find them. The detail, color and build quality of these figures is truly impressive. Below are links to pics of the 3 characters and some other Phantasy Star related gashapon I have acquired over the years:a pic I snapped of them (sorry for the horrible cell phone picture quality)

Well I guess you could call them action figures, however these really are more for looking at http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

OOH, I have the two sets of the gashapon figures from the original PSO (a painted set and a clear plastic set). They're really neat, and it's too bad I have them packed away in storage right now(goddamn this small rental house and its lack of space to display my toys!).

I swear, its been a lifelong dream of mine to go to Japan with a buttload of money, a change of clothes, and a bunch of empty suitcases so I can buy a bunch of neat Japanese toys that never get released in the U.S. (That, and to try to buy beer and a sex toy from a public vending machine).

You need to get the Nei figure too. Then you'd have a full PS set.

Also Sinue-v2 I do have Nei, she is in one of the pics with the 2 other Sega Gals from PS.

thats not bad for a cell phone pic (cough* mine sucks cough*)
what would u say the average price of each figure was?

The PSU figures are about $8-10. The larger larger PSO figures are about $6-7 (about $20 for the set of 6 Sega Gals). The small PSO figures are hard to find but shouldn't be more than $4-$5.

Oh and VanHalen I love the HUmar too but his sword broke and crazy glue wouldn't fix it so I plan to get some epoxy to take care of the job.

I still need to find the Ethan and Karen PSU figures so if anyone finds an online retailer selling them please let me know.

Yeah, Rico's stacked, and you get a bit of fanservice down under. Did I just say that?

Mugenakuma, did you get any of the alternate color schemes? I'd love a shot if you have them.

For the PSU figures the alternate color schemes is a solid silver, which I didn't buy and as far as I know the other figures do not have alternate color schemes (except maybe for the small all clear gashapon, which I didn't post pics of).

Wow, solid silver. I'll lie to myself and say that's it's just their way of encouraging you to create your own. Thanks for the heads-up.

Is that for each individual figure or for a set?

I remember my friend telling me that the PSO gashapon figures were like $20 a set, once you converted yen to dollar (when the lucky guy was still stationed in Japan during his military service). This was years ago, when they were first released, so the price could have changed, going up or down depending on their popularity.

(He also sent me in the mail some neat Animal Crossing playsets which I never saw in the U.S. I swear, the damn Japanese get all the cool toys.)

Well the smaller gashapon figures can be found on ebay in sets, however they are usually sold in Japanese stores in markets individually in boxes or in gashapon plastic "eggs". When sold individually like this they usually sell for at least $4. Oh and I have seen those Animal Crossing playsets and they are very cool. You can actually get stuff like that, along with other cool stuff from this shop here: http://otaku.com/cgi-bin/productlist.asp?newsearch=1 (I have bought TONS of stuff from here).

Yes you did. But that's okay, I always thought Rico was the hottest scientist aboard Pioneer...uhh, nevermind.

I'm very sad my PSO gashapon set didn't include Red Ring Rico. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif
