Well, this is an entire website dedicated to PSO and a forum on it... so what do you think we'll say?

Anyway, I never played the DC version of PSO... but since about Oct. 30, I've logged nearly 150 hours of time on GC PSO.

PSO for PC is based on the older DC V2. It is a near direct port. The only real differences are additional language support (Korean, Chinese) and more Word Select phrases. Currently, it is sold only in Asian markets. Rumors of a USA version keep floating around, even Sonic Team themselves have said it in the game's "message of the day" thing. However, there's no real solid evidence of it happening anytime soon.

I'm told the online presence in the PC version is rather small, not alot of people play. I got the import but I do not go online. The one thing about the PC version I do like is if the PC crashes or you otherwise don't quit out correctly, instead of losing unequipped items and all that, you simply reset back where you were before you loaded the character. Not so good if you just found a rare item, but better than losing a bunch of things.

The game only supports 640x480, making it very pixellated on my 21" monitor. FSAA doesn't help much, just makes it blurry and pixellated. Grumble.

This is the same for all versions if you play offline-only.

The trial I downloaded is boring as hell. You start with a HUmar and you don't get any items until you get 1 telepipe at the end. I'd rather watch it than play it.
