Which of the new PAs are much better than the old ones?

Mainly I want to know about the saber one, the one handed dagger one, the twin saber one, and the double saber one (for whenever i get a dbl saber).

doublesaber one is amazing, single saber one is awesome, one hand dagger one is nothing special, and twin saber needs to get the full combo to be any good.

The new Sword PA Spinning Break is awesome for damaging and pretty damn quick. 1h Saber PA Gravity Strike is sweet toom, especially if you have a Crea Saber type. The new Spear PA is one of those PAs you need 2 or 3 hits to be useful/cool.

Assault Crush is made of win once you get all 3 hits.

Spinning Break is hawt too.

Is spinning break better than spamming the first two moves of Dus Daggas? They look like competing options.

I think Dus Daggas is faster

I like Spinning Break better. Not a fan of Spears myself. But yeah, either or works.

Ah... I've let my little brother monopolize the TV all day, it's become a problem.

Whatever, when I get on I'll get the single saber and Sword PA's, and the dark shot for my dual pistols.

Hopefully they don't take TOO long to level.

Jan 12, 2007, 03:52 PM
single saber I got to 11 within an hour, using 6 of the 6* Yohmei sabers, and spamming at Valley of Carnage B. I also got doublesaber and twin daggers to 11, but that was from a few things, including Bruce's Dungeon.

Gravity Dance is also made of win.

Infection > Burn. That's why I never bothered with Fire bullets.

i just got the twin saber art and the first part is a bit of a let down cuz it only attacks one target, i hope the last part impresses the hell out of me, not that im giving up on it, i got it to level 3 before getting to school.

you've never seen the twin saber PA?

Ive seen the twin saber one, but Im saying something like from personal experience. and about DOT, I think that will make me happy that I taught my newman guntecher mostly fire bullets, which I taught her mostly because it matched the color of her hair and her outfit.

Eh specifically for my fighgunner i want that new saber PA, double saber and twin saber/dagger. They all look capable of decent crowd control.

I especially love to pin mobs in a corner/niche and spam knockback/knockdown pa's.

ljkkjlcm9
Jan 12, 2007, 04:22 PM
well, those are the ones I've focused on leveling. Twin Saber the least, even though it needs it the most. It's just a pain to level, while the twin dagger and double saber are useful to level, as is single saber on single enemies.

The Double Saber PA hits everything around you. That shit is tight. It's like a super version of the first dagger PA.

actually, it only hits 2 enemies per hit

Lol I bought the new Dagger one and Spear one, because their my best weps types.
Found out:
Dagger shoots them up into the air... ok
Spear does a wide attack
... okay. Ghay, 18000 bucks each for this? GHAY
Do they get better on the second Move or have high damamge increase by lv 20? because I'm a wartecher and 20 is max. I like the first two Pas Just fine though, should I just stick with those instead of leveling these two PAs? do tthey become owrth using if I level them?

Second Hit: Everything FLIES

Spear:
First hit: Ghay
Second hit: ghay (mean I wont be using this one much lol)
Third hit: Okay... lol, BUT I CAN'T USE IT! GHAY

The new fist PA is very decent against giant mobs, worms etc; anything that can't be knock flying. You can chain knock down forever, until something come bothering u of course.

Gravity Dance is crap, 110% damage bonus isn't worth the range of the tech, and the first part only hits two enemies. The first part of Spiral Dance only hits two targets for three hits, but the damage bonus is much better, and the last hit in that first series knocks the enemy down. Dus Robado could be better after 11, I'm not sure yet, and Shunbu Shouren-zan pales in comparison to Buten Shuren-zan. I am disappointed so far. Just about to buy Moubu Seiren-zan to test it out, so we'll see on that one.

My favorite is actually the Dagger one, to all you haters. It does quite a bit and has good knockback. Also, the new fist pa is a freakin godsend to people like me who like to solo hard missions.

Plus, I don't think anyone should listen to pengfish, since his 'From' is "Dallas motherfucker, what you want?"

Sounds to me like he hates a lot...

Moubu is.. interesting... I find it rather lacking in range unfortunately.... plus with fast enemies... moubu doesnt have the range to keep up with the enemy since is has no stun. Moubu isnt bad against slow large multiple hitpoint enemies like Kogg Nad but against those enemies that like to backpedal almost immediately after attacking... it sucks. Looks cool though >_>

the new PA is better, not amazing, but better. It only targets one enemy, and is meant to be a big enemy killer, like Jarbas or something.

I'm not liking the Twin Dagger PA too much over the old one, but hopefully that changes when it's Lv11+. It's cool and all, but I'm not doing too much more damage than a regular combo, unlike the spam-o-matic PA they had before.

i think at 21+ the new twin daggar pa is like 12 hits or so. i never really liked it partly because i had bad luck with elemental %'s on twin daggars.

how many things can the final hit of the new twin saber PA hit?

Dein
Jan 14, 2007, 05:51 AM
Gravity dance being a buffed up version of the first Dagger PA is a huge over exaggeration. Spiral Dance does better crowd control and damage than Gravity Dance ever will. It has good accuracy granted but it's, at best, a breather from Spiral Dance.

Tried out dagger PA. It is meh. First two hits for 2 target knockup, followed by a knockback. 3 hits total if a single target. For crowd control, single target, or double target, I think the original dagger PA is better =/

Twin dagger PA have at 11+ so far. More of a concentrated damage type of deal. Seems okay for now, but hard to get away from previous twin dagger PA overpoweredness.

Spear PA is nice and flashy. AoE like the original sword PA but consumes a ton of PP. Hits 1, 2, 2 x 3 targets.

Sword have it only at 11+ and it's okay. First step is 2 hits x 2 targets, followed by only 1 hit, so it feels like I'm wasting PP when I execute the 11+ portion. Will have to see how it is at 21+, but no doubt there will be some massive knockback, which usually isn't desired.

Twin saber is .... Is this like the only PA that hits ONE monster (well there is single claw too)? 2 hits x 1 monster, followed by 2 hits x 1 monster, followed by perhaps something awesome but I haven't gotten it to 21+ yet. Again I expect massive knockback on the final hit, which is a bad thing if I end up limiting myself to 11+ for normal leveling.

The fist PA is a little touchy about reach, and doesn't knock down all large-type mobs. But it's really flashy, pretty safe to use and just juggles insead of hitting with knockback. My favorite of the new PA's so far.

Assault Crush's last combo is a single hit "dash" slash with both sabers that knocks an entire group of enemies into the air. In offline I think the final combo could hit up to 4 or 5 enemies at once but online could be different.
