It actually levels fairly decently through the first ten levels. Level 10 is kinda hard, and it's very slow after 11 - mine JUST hit 12 like ten seconds ago.

Dam- techs level really fast. It seems that the 4 hits count individually for exp not the whole combo of 4 hits counting as one. They level really fast. Emptying 1 Tomoirod gained me atleast 1 level up until 11. I stopped using it after that in order to level Damdiga. Buffs/debuffs take a while but atleast you get exp for each person you use it on/each enemy you use it on instead of x amount of exp per cast no matter how many people there are. Damfoie and Dammegid will be harder to level though since they don't seem to cause enemies to flinch like Dambarta and Damdiga. I think though that Damfoie and Dammegid get a much longer range when they level unlike Damdiga and Dambarta which seemed to just have a wider AoE.

I saw someone using lv.21+ version earlier today, seems as though Dam-spells have Buff/Debuffs beat in speed leveling.

Damubarta hits BEHIND you at 21+, too, hence why it's so mighty.

I'm focusing on Damubarta and Damumegid, mostly. :3

Y'all make me feel like a slacker. Not one of my new PA's on either of my two mains are anywhere near 10 yet. That spell looks really awesome though.

Hehe, had it for hours http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif. I took a break after getting 21 to level up some buff skills.

This thing does crazy damage. I'm using the worst store bought wand and I unequipped all of my stat raising units.

I believe he posted that simply to illustrate how much coverage the spell gets seeing as

1) The SS is from the PC, and he plays online with the 360
2) The SS doesn't bother to show any damage
3) It is obviously Extra Mode

So...

In your opinion, would the Dam- techniques be more suitable than the Gi- series for someone who's always in-close, like a Wartecher?

I have all the Gi- techniques, and I'm thinking about going over to the Dam- series, because they seem to be really good...

damn... level 1 - 10 looks like a little dinky shit attack, but level 11 actually makes it look cool =]
I am level all my Dam spells evenly, kinda... I got my dammegid to level 11 first and I am getting all the others up now, they are all at level 3 now and going to level 4.

The Dam-series is really really good expecially Damdiga and Dambarta since they cause all enemies to flinch. They can hit an unlimited amount of enemies although it is hard to get more than 6 regular sized enemies or 8 smaller enemies at a time in range. It hits enemies much faster than Gi-techs and all Dam- techs start with SE3. At level 43 I can take down a group of 6+ B rank enemies in one full combo which under level 11 is 4 hits. They do use a bit more PP but they level very quickly. Dambarta from level 7-11 leveled once everytime I used a full Tomoirod. Before that it level almost twice per full rod. Combine these with Retier which for me added an extra 40 damage and you can easily do 1000 damage each to 6 enemies with a full combo.

I just got my Dambarta up to 21.. and wow, if you think it's awesome at 11, you're going to love 21. It's HUGE.
