Different Looking Techniques

So I just got this game a week or so ago. I'm a force, got some techniques, gifoie and stuff. Much fun. But then I started looking at some pictures on this site. (http://pso-world.com/images/psu/guides/photon_arts/techniques/gifoie-1.jpg)
My gifoie looks nothing like that. Does it change as it levels up? If so, do all of the techniques change?

yes all techniques get bigger, better, and more awesome as they lvl.
