A friend told me that these items were used to increase the elemental percentage while synthing a weapon

ex
Burning spicia = better fire elements
blizzard pop = better ice
etc

Is this true?

Nope, just PM food.

PM food mostly. However some food items have odd effects when eaten in missions.

When I get on I will test that theory.

Just gotta remind me.

Gotta get 3 Knife boards..

If it was true....I tried it....but I wasn't sure ...do you feed it to the pm b4 or after you start the synth? I fed it a dogma drop after I started a synth and came out with 12 % megid.....so then I tried a burning spicia ...and DeRR DeRR...atp booster

I've experimented with this theory in the past and haven't really seen any change in the %s that looks anything other than the usual randomness. Tried it with 10 each of Burning Spicia (Fire), Blizzard Pop (Ice), Dogma Drop (Dark) and Steamed Milk (Light?)... over about 30 1* weapons.

When you eat one of the foods that you make, it will affect you. Blizzard pop freeze you as soon as you eat it. Dogma drop hurts you some, & bluefeeter makes you confuse. I tried them out already. >_>

Yeah and you can FAIL the cake synth and make cookies, which I'm afraid to even try.

I don't know. Maybe if you fail at one of Maya's recipes, you might actually make something good!

Double-failure doesn't make something good.

Just makes Maya jealous.

Heck, it can work. Let's say if you failed to remember to put in the battery acid, at the right time; thus leaving it out completely.....and you forgot to leave the recipe in the oven, at 450, for 10 hours, instead leaving it in there for only 2.

My theory is, that Maya puts bad but utilitarian recipe ideas into otherwise *good* recipes. (Stuff that supposedly helps you get better energy, or improve your physique, but tastes horrible or provides the opposite effect) So if you leave out the bad additives, you might have a good meal. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
