If you are a true Sonic fan, like myself & many others, Tails is,in fact, a bonafide boy. This goes all the back to around 93 when that started airing the cartoon on ABC.

I don't know which one he would've been a girl though. They would've *had* to have changed him to male rather quickly. I've had Japanese Sonics where he was male, not to mention the comics. Not one, with the opposite. Sonic Team *historically* tends to be pretty obvious with genders, with their characters.
