PSU: What's this about armors and stat bonuses?

I keep hearing of how you can get some stat bonuses if you equip certain armors with certain weapons (and even says so on some of the armors).

Any one care to elaborate?

A phantom rifle used with a phantomline gives a 25% bonus to stats to the respective equipment. Same goes for the ageha-senba and ageha-kikami
