Well, I've finally gotten Kadan to Wartecher! It's only been a few hours, so I'm really new at the job, and I was wondering if there were any Newman Wartechers out there that can answer some questions.

My main question is about weapons. Which should I use and which should I stay away from? Twin Daggers rule, so I know I'll use those. Twin Sabers didn't work too well. During Holy Grounds B I kept missing and would switch back to the Daggers. I also tried out the Spear for a multi-hit weapon, but that did even worse for me. I could never pull off a combo or a PA because I'd be forced to cancel it to block. Very annoying, I ended up replacing it with Gi/Dam spells. I'm interested in the Twin Claws too, but as my ATP is very low I can't try them yet (see next paragraph). Are Twin Claws on a Newman any good or should skip them and not waste 90k? Plus, I'm not much for Handguns, so I was wondering if Cards were worth getting?

I also can't help but notice that my ATP flat out sucks. At level 33 I've only got 181 ATP. I'm stuck using B rank melee weapons because the A ranks require upwards of 300 ATP to use. How long until I reach these numbers? The only A ranks I can use are Wands (And I bought 3 Libras. XD)

My current palette:
Twin Daggers
Twin Sabers
Bow (Light and Dark arrows, both maxed at 10)
Wand (Resta / Reverser)
Wand (Shifta / Deband)
Wand (Gi / Dam spells, depends on area)

Well, lets see. . . .

My Newman Guntecher has more ATP then you. . . Level 45 rank 4 =P

Cards DOMINATE handguns. Dual claws second PA is good.

I'll help you out with some stuff, where can I find you?

okay Im a wartecher beast but i can still help you out a bit on the pallete.

So heres my opinion on what you should have

Twin Daggers/Twin Sabers - Your Preference
Spear - A wartechers best friend a must have
Bow - Make sure you have Ice
Wand (resta/reverser) - you got that down
Wand (shifta/deband) - you got that too
Wand (Gi/Dam/Basic) Diga and Foie good too you know

Okay well these are my opinions. I say you have to have a spear especially for bosses and big enemies.
This would either cut off your twin sabers or daggers, your choice. Bow needs ice since the majority of flying enemies are infact fire. You have thehealing wand the buff wand is good since your tpand accuracy is already good as a newman. For attack wands I say basic spells aregood for some things too suchas fighting smaller mobs and conserving pp, damu and gi spells eat upyour tp much faster.

thats my 2 cents.

i'm HUman techer, but I think I know a bit a bout the class http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif.

get a bow, first thing you need. if you can, buy all bullets for it. Cards are nice too, but at your lvl you dont need to worry about them yet. The reason why I say buy all bullets for bow is that elemental dmg is really good. I have all bullets and I can deal very good dmg.

Spear...it's very strong, but I'm not sure you need one yet. If twin daggers work for you, then focus on those. knuckles are also a decent wep, with decent atp. Another good thing about knuckles is that the 3rd PA for it, isnt much of a help, the first two are the real good thing for it.

Wands...focus on S/D, J/Z is (imo) too much of a hassle with the pallet swap. but that's also becuase my comp blows so I really dont enjoy using the pallete. resta/reverser good yayaya. tech wand. FOCUS on DIGA. and GIdiga. they both deal good dmg to anything, even ground enemies. also, try to get get gidiga to lvl 11, so you can use it to deal good dmg and tag for exp. diga, is sometimes good for enemies, but I mostly find myself using my bow rather than diga.

P.S. I think you have my card, (tis ephekz) so PM me, if you have any more questions.

edit: also twin claws have pretty low ata(as all claws do) so I dont think you should look forward for those.

Good to know cards are actually decent. But do they hit multiple enemies or just one? Saw one in action the other day but couldn't tell. Can't use them for a while though.

And I'm working on getting all bullets for bows to 10. Currently working on ice, because the flyers and the gyoshins are fire.

Not too fond of Spears, but I should probably try them on something other than Holy Grounds B...

And I'm not worried about the low ata on claws. Newmans have decent ata.

@Sgt - Universe 2, usually on Moatoob or Neudaiz. I've been playing on Mathyu alot lately though, so you'll probably see me on him.

@dark - Didn't know you were a Wartecher. And I do have your card.

Use shifta/deband on a wand and replace it with a debuff wand (zodeel/zalure). Debuffs make a BIG difference when you're a wartecher.

I don't recommend keeping a bow directly on hand unless you need one all the time (and you shouldn't -- wartechers suck at ranged combat). You can always switch one out when fliers spawn.

Dambarta is freaking nuts. Use it when you can.

lol suck at ranged combat? ya ok. A rank bows and cards require same ata to use. I perfer bows a lot more, but sometimes i'll whip out my cards. they have very good homing and have an insane targetting system. it only hits one enemy, and it rivals bow for dmg. I see them as our own set of twin hanguns. since I like the long range and speed bows offer, I use em alot and I dont miss alot either. also since you play on moatoob a lot i'm sure bows come in handy no? you dont really need to max them but whatever, I did too becuase it looks nicer =P.

about spears, if you dont like spears then dont worry about using them, I recently got sick of them and took them completly off my pallet.

edit: heh, oops

Funny, my spears happen to deal twice the damage of my other attacks, and since the best attack of Dus Daggas is the second one, we wartechers can actually make use of them.

hehe, I should of looked at my post again, I put the not maxing thing in the wrong paragraph.

I rarely miss with a bow. The damage is also about 4/5 times that of my daggers with the right bullets. Makes picking off flyers and playing whack-a-mole much less frustrating.

um... as a newman wartecher, i'd suggest these

Dagger (single)
Spear (Single)
Bow
Wand (shifta/Zodial)
Wand (Resta/reverser/restier)
Wand (Barta/Diga type spells or spell type that support your weapon, meaning spell element that's different from weapon. but i strongly suggest Diga as a spell because it's just too strong to pass up.)

As a newman wartecher, Your strength probably won't be high enough to use duals, and the amount of damage on duals aren't too amazing either. I'd suggest maxing out BOTH Spear skills. Dus Daga is just very good against single opponent. And Dus Rabo is really good crowd controller. I say Dagger because it's quite strong and fast so you wont' stay under the fire too long.

In addition, as a Newman Wartech, you are MUCh more Tech than War... I'd suggest rely on your spells a lot more than your melee. Even human will laugh at your ATP.

Also I think Deband is quiet useless for WT especially Newman. With the highest EVP race, and the highest EVP class (160% EVP bonus as WT), Zodial is MUCH mUCh better, and beneficial. It also help you HIT better. Also, high DFP is not recommend during higher rank bruce run since you might not get blown away from bear's tornado, and with Newmans' poor HP it's quiet punishing. with high EVP, you can probably even block a hit or two, if you are on the edge of the Bear's tornado.

just my two cent as a WT. though WT can do decently with melee, as a Newman WT you'd have to rely on high grade elemental weapon to exploit weakness to do the same amount of damage as say a HU class with just a cheap neutral weapon. So I'd suggest you take the Tech route as a newman WT. Of course it's up to you. If you want best of both world's I'd suggest Human WT.
