Despite me and my friend Isobel/Jonty being grossly under leveled to do it (creatures Lv65+, I was Lv45, he was Lv50), we decided to do the blocks and leave the boss...

2 WHOLE HOURS LATER, we reached block 3... at that point, we gave up. It took us 10 mins to kill EACH Tengohg, and they usually spawn it groups of 2 or 3!

All was not totally in vain though... I got a [B] Tengohg Bow!

So take my advice; don't try doing Onma S until you are at least Lv65... with a full party!

did you use melee weapons on tengohg? i found that twin hg work wonders against them.

I used some Bullets now and then, but to be honest, I was trying to level up my Skill PA's more... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

15 min runs if you use se lvl 4 traps, have a well formed party and know what you're doing.

You dont need to be lvl 65+ to be capable of running under 15 mins. at all either.

tengohg are melee resistant. meaning you'll do way more damage with guns and techs.

i think it took me 2 hours to solo that with my 450. thats including 75% of that time idling to recharge my weapons (yeah, i have the time and lots of things to do meanwhile).

Ah, THAT would have been your problem. I can see why you'd have a problem.

1) Tengouhgs have a ton of HP - 26780 if they tick for 1339 damage from burn.

2) Tengouhgs are melee-resistant - but vulnerable to bullets.

Basically, you were setting yourself up for failure - and no wonder you gave up!

Onma S is a very Ranger-oriented level, just as Grove of Fanatics is very Force-oriented. I've done it in 30 minutes before easy with a pack of 6 fortegunners and guntechers, all of us with high-level burn and ice.

Not to be a downer, but what you're saying is that if you're not tight on cash for traps (and a lot of people are in the 35-45 Lv range where you switch to A-ranks) and have the rare opportunity of having a balanced group that wants to go, you can run in in 1/3 of the usual time?

I don't know the whole trap business, but Onma S is easily done in 20 mins by a standard party if you have status 4 somewhere reliably. 14 min runs are the ones with fG's and GT's everywhere. Let the fG's bomb everything and the GT's do cartwheels around the map with their dualies. It's what I do. x_X

Hmmm.. I would probably say you can do it for around 25-35 mins. considering the average to run the map with an average party should be 35-40 mins.

It shouldnt take nearly an hour to do the run with a full party, either.

That must be why, as I don't know any decent GTs and only have 1 good fG friend. He was laying down the virus 4 pretty well and we killed at a nice speed, but I think just running through the blocks on C takes 15 min solo

I know Tengohg are Fire enemies but if you are any kind of a force using Foie against them is a good idea. For me it was doing about 1339 per tick. I had level 23 Foie at the time. I think it took about 50 min though so it took quite a while but for my first run through there someone got a [B] Tengohg Bow and a [B] Nafri-senba along with a couple 10* synth mats although I got absolutely nothing since it was set random for rares.

Rifle, Bow, Foie = SE lvl 4 PA's. You can use those as alternatives for Trap G's

Diga/Dambarta/Rabarta are good alternatives if you cant successfully attach SE lvl 4 on the tengohs

diga rabarta foie is all I use in Onma S

but as far as 2 melee at your levels go... I think 2 hours is a good time http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

huh... I did Omna S in my early 40s and was amazed how quickly it went down in group... I was anal as all get out with my SDJZ and have a 6 star pistol I ground decently to keep up when those big f*ckers come out to play.

Only a 20ish level difference. Try a soloing with a 30 level difference (http://www.amesani.org/soukosa/psu/images/psu20070120_141713_009.jpg) http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif
Mobbing stuff that high is quite fun too (http://www.amesani.org/soukosa/psu/images/psu20070120_143249_011.jpg).

Not bragging or anything. Just got bored the other day >.>;

Pbbbbtttt....Well it didn't take me long to get through using spells, and Burn is the absolute best for soloing, obviously!....even against fire monsters and Especially! against the Tengohgs....but you can Forget Oma S......http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif......I wasted scapes just trying to get Near that ...something of a something....
