Characters shielding each other?(Cutscenes and all)

Is there any way to force this to happen, or is it just a random occurrence?

Just for the record, I'm not talking about when one person uses a Protect Card (or something similar) on another, but when the character glows and a little Cut-in chat thing appears.

its pretty random.
and prety lame! ME and vr raiden almost hit for 70 damage once, only to have it comletely blocked

EDIT: Changed from 7to 70.... it makes a big difference

Can this happen between two players?
I've only witnessed it between two COMs and when a COM helped me.

Unfortunatly no.
CUtscenes are Com and Com, or Player and Com.
i think its cheap so i dont mind that its not player and player

Yeah, it's pretty funny when you fight the Guykild Saligun team in online tournys. When Guykild blocks Saligun he says something like "Leave it to Stella, nyah!" XD

It is a random occurrence for COM players.

If I remember correctly, certain combinations of COMs have better odds of generating these scenes.

It happens most often when the next attack will kill the enemy. I amost alwasy see it when I use my Air assassin decks on Computer opponents, on turns that I do 40+ damage in one turn.
