(Generally, most of the TA events previous to this have been exclusive to the official PSU forums. This time, I wanted to spread the word a bit and invite anyone interested from the PSOW crowd. That said, here's the info!)

The PSU Time Attack Race has returned, this time with minimum level requirements and an improved competition that should keep even the strongest of players on their toes!

With the continuing spread of SEED infestation throughout the Gurhal System, elite Guardians are invited to take part in a new competition to eliminate the SEED faster than ever before. Not only will Guardians be fighting some of the fiercest monsters available in S-rank missions, but parties will also be in a constant race against the clock - and against other Guardians just like themselves. Think you and your friends have what it takes? Now's your chance to prove it to the community!

Even if you're familiar with our past five TA rounds, be sure to read the details and rules! The only thing that's remained from the previous events is the general concept of running and killing stuff really fast - everything else is new.

When: 7:00 PM CST, Thursday Jan. 25th

Where: PC/PS2 Servers, Universe 7, Central Table

How it works: - All competitors must be level 45 or higher to take part. This is because the missions involved are all S-rank difficulty and require (at most) this level to compete in.

- The first round will consist of three seperate races through S-rank missions, and parties will be ranked in order of their arrival at the field base following each mission. Points will be given out for each round based on the following scale:

1st: 10 points
2nd: 8 points
3rd: 6 points
4th: 4 points
5th: 2 points
6th: 1 point
7th and below: Pie to the face

- Parties can have as few as two people or as many as six, and can be any race/class combination. The top five teams will get public recognition on the thread, and the top three all recieve prizes. The prizes are a lump sum of meseta, which is divided by the number of people in the party. This means that while a 2 man team will take home much more individually than a 6 man party, they're also going to go much slower - it's up to players to decide what balance will be most effective.

The Prizes:
1st: 1,000,000 (1 Million Meseta) divided among party members
2nd: 500,000 Meseta divided among party members
3rd: 250,000 Meseta divided among party members

A picture of the winning team will also be posted on the thread each week to congratulate the victors.

Rules / Cheating:
- No party may begin the next mission before the announcer says to begin. Starting any mission early will result in your team being disqualified.
- Users with certain/multiple S-rank weapons may be disqualified automatically at the discretion of jeM staff. Everyone is invited, but anyone with hax S-ranks is playing on an unfair ground to begin with.
- jeM Staff will be posted at each event area to make sure that each party is playing the correct mission. Any party trying to cheat by placing C,B, or A rank difficulty missions will be disqualified from the event.
- See above in regards to cheating by sending users to field lobbies ahead of time.

Please post here if you have any questions regarding the event, the rules, or how it all works. You can also pre-register your team here by letting us know who your party leader will be.

Best of luck to all the competitors! See you Thursday!

compiling a list of items that get you disqualified would be useful.
