Well I was looking for some double sabers and I happen to find a shop. As I entered the shop, I started hearing some moaning and screaming. Ran into the room area to find two people sitting down and cybering though the xbox headset. They didn't notice me for a while and kept going. I can't get into detail of what they said and stuff. Bad girl, whos yo daddy blah blah. Then I couldn't help myself and bused out laughing.

Then both this guy and this chick was stopped and was telling me to get out and cussing at me. The chick logged off (her body magically dissipear) and then the guy was throwing racial slurs and cussing at me yet I cancled all that out with laughing. My eyes was tearing up and everything.

Then I started teasing the guy and he then logged off. I told some guys on my card list to come in the room and chill (few PSO-W members). Then about 10 min later the chick came back in. I said, "There she is!". All of us balled out laughing. She told us to shut up and we all did. So we talked to her and asked her things like, "What did he give you to do this and stuff?".

Well she told us everything. She got a crap load of awsome items, weapons and gear, top grade stuff. We all took a look at her to see the stuff she was carrying, also 200,000 meseta. She straight looted this guy for a little dirty talk over the mic. 8 min later the guy came in his room and was pretty suprised that so many was in his room. The room was now filled with 7 people. I yelled out, "That's the guy!". We all started laughing again and even the chick was laughing.

He was trying to cuss ous all out yet it sounded like he was about to cry. He left his room. So we all stayed and talked and we asked if she knew what he was doing. He was doing missions alone. So we all in the room went to do a mission. Before I left his room I left one of those Vandaporn statues in his room. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

This has been one of the most funniest days of my life on Xbox Live. I have never herd such a thing. Cybering over Xbox Live and this game to be exact....

Sorry for my grammer and spelling errors and I hope I didn't miss any other infomation.

I shouldn't laugh because this is more so sad than it is funny but still.

Good story man, that's just hilarious.... oh man what people will do for items. Then again this might be one of the extremes. Almost makes me happy we don't have voice chat with PS2/PCers

I would make this person known so his experience on PSU will be ruined and tarnished, but then again i'm abit of a sadist.

I was against you on this until I read this part:

even the chick was laughing.

:/

And I wasn't going to agree because I think there is nothing wrong with expressing one's desires to each other. Cybering is just one of the many forms of doing it.

The guy was used for what he had. I fail to see how that is funny.

Well we would have talked to that guy about it, but he was just beeing an a** to all of us. All of us found it funny for different reasons. I found this funny becuase I never herd of such an event though xbox live and using the mic.

Well they guy was embarassed for being that desperate. As he should be. Paying a girl in game items/currency for cyber sex is pretty lame.

I've heard of accounts where males using a female character model did this type of stuff. Truthfully, I don't know which is worse; selling yourself for game currency or paying to get some. Probably the former, since prostitution has been around for quite some time.

I don't know, but the girl players in FFXI have bad with this. It takes a lot of buying on the guys end before he figures out that he's just being used. It's sad and very inhumane. I've had guy friends totally change after such incidents, and these aren't good changes.

It's a complicated scene when it comes to that stuff. Say that you give this and that, yet look forward to reciving and if not give no more. There is a girl character on PSU flinging me items and it's funny yet coo.

They guy is funny because he's pathetic.
She is because she is a shame for humankind.

Like Maylee said, I think they should be reproted, infortunately, I never saw banned anyone that I saw cybering in a game, all I managed to do against those peoples is to build them the reputation they deserve.

To answer your question No they don't.

As for FFXI. My in game little brother sold his Brown Belt to buy his "girlfriend" the Opaline Set and 2 Astral Rings. They set the in game wedding for 3 weeks. Two days before the wedding, I found out his "girlfriend" was really a guy playing a mithra. Or as we call it a Mantra. -_-*

That is one of the things that makes me hat this kind of person.

Being slutty is already terrible IRL, but for a game it is another level of weirdness and perversity. For understanding this idea fully, change the game and keep the fact.
I usually substitute the game with something like Monopoly.
Even if it is really different from a video-game, it is still a game, would anyone sane would have sex for winning a game ? I don't think this question need any answer.

Now the worst part is that everyone is anonimous in a game and can easyly lie about the infos they give. It is harder in X-box live, due to headset, but still, you don't know what/who are peoples around, a kid could have entered in the room, like you said.
But in most games it is only texts, and peoples who do that have no real idea if they are really doing cyber with someone of the opposite sex, or adult.

I don't try to make this topic into a serious discution about morale, but even if it is really a funny story they both deserve to be reported, peoples like that have nothing to do on a video-game, if they want to do cyber there are chat devices on the net.

I wonder if someday they will make all online games 18+ because of those behaviors. It would be a shame to let it happen, so better report this kind of players.

Lol still though.

How could that guy be satisfied with himself after "getting some" from an online game?

I don't know about anyone else, but I hardly see that as self gratification.

One has got to be in the lowest level of esteem to be happy about that.

Learning stuff about people gets more and more interesting all the time.

Yeah, in a way I can see why, cause it was so funny.

But looking at it from an arbitor's point of view. The guy needs help. If his esteem was that low as to basically promote prostitution IN GAME then he's prolly a really depressed, pitiful person and needs some kind of aid. You know?

Everyone coming to his room to laugh at him prolly drove him to the point of stabbing himself with a spoon. As sad as it is, people are like that.

He couldn't possibly think of himself as "cool" after getting caught in an act such as so. He must be really depressed or has self esteem that's about as low as dino fossils.

As funny as it is, I see him as pitiful more than anything. Guy needs to get out more and get a -real- girlfriend. But that's a whole other issue itself. :3

http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Just gotta chime in on this real fast, then I'll go on topic.

I met my real life girlfriend on FF XI. We didn't exactly date when I played FF, but we were in the same Linkshell, talked quite often, and were very good friends. I am a rather blunt person, and I find text highly impersonal, so to anyone I considered an honest friend I would just give them my cell phone number.

To make a long story short, after I quit our friendship went into other things, and now I drive back and forth between Texas and Kansas every other month (she comes down the other months).

To say that you need to go out into the real world to meet real people is a bit asinine. Because when you are online you are with real people. The ambiguity of the internet just makes it far easier to trick people.

But, alas this is a case of more prostitution then love. In which case, yes there is that case of being a bit pitiful. But you never know when the time old fairy tale comes along and you find a hooker with a heart of gold and they all fall in love.

Bit of a radical dreamer aren't I?

Anyway, on topic:

Lol still though.

How could that guy be satisfied with himself after "getting some" from an online game?

I don't know about anyone else, but I hardly see that as self gratification.

One has got to be in the lowest level of esteem to be happy about that.

Learning stuff about people gets more and more interesting all the time.

I bet he felt Crunchy when people came to his room to laugh at him.

Humm, maybe a PSO-W girl should give him some advice...

I'd tell him to seek mental help, but that's just me.

To be honest with you, might not be much you can report.

You may say that the game is rated "T for Teen," however, it does state right under (as it does with all online games) "Game Experience May Change During Online Play" meaning that although it may have been inapproprate (for some) it could still be allowed if it doesn't breach the EULA or ToS (To be honest I never really read them so I can't say if it does).

As for everyone else who truly shocked about this event needs to remember that this is nothing new. Besides the fact that it's not the normal medium for this action, it has happened in many different forms since the invention of the telephone.

I'm not saying that I approve of the actions, just saying that it is not new nor is it something that may result in action being taken against the individual.

I'm with you on that. Stuff like that, you can tell, has been happening for like....forever. However, I also make it a strong self-point not to find enjoyment in the misfortune of others. A lot of people have various issues, based on their backgrounds, and not as simple as one can guess.

Considering I know nothing about the ones involved, I can barely guess how things led up to it. In general, some people have problems, and people will take advantage of it (and often because they have *different* problems of their own in which they also failed to handle it well). There are generally some good guidelines as to how you conduct yourself on the internet, but just like the rules of society, you'll always find people who don't heed to it. Call me overly compassionate, but that's just me. I'd rather be seen that way than anything else.

In the case of direct breaking of rules, like racial slurs, public offensive material, etc. The warnings are there, and definitely reports should go that way. Nor would I hesitate. Still, I've seen the badlands of Guild Wars, with so many people blantant about having inappropriate material for all to see (unavoidable stuff), so nothing really surprises me that much.

Considering the options (turning VC off, blacklisting), this is still more protected.

hah wow can't believe i didn't see this post earlier, that was pretty hilarious. And yea you can feel bad for the guy and not laugh at his misfortune or whatever but i mean it's embarassing for him but he'll learn from it maybe and it's not like it was real life so no one knows who he is and stuff. Ah man that's classic though

It's nothing to do with feeling bad for the guy. It's more complex than that. The entire situation is kind of tragic from both sides of the coin. He had issues and he dealt with them in one of the worst ways. She had issues and she also dealt with it in one of the worst ways.

As you say, he might learn something from the experience. She might *unlearn* from the experience. For one, it's probably a bad experience, the other could see it as a *satistying* experience and continue along such activities.

http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif Just gotta chime in on this real fast, then I'll go on topic.

Anyway, on topic:

http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif Great story, it honestly made me laugh out loud.

Anyway, my girlfriend and I have been together for a year now. Neither of us exactly planned on it happening, it was just nice. What is so wrong about meeting someone with similar interests? It is like picking up a girl at a baseball game, you both like baseball, why wouldn't it work? My girlfriend and I both like games, so why wouldn't it work?

You need to lighten up and realize good things can happen. Hell one of my best friends from FF XI and her boyfriend (who she happened to meet on FF XI) are getting married in a couple of months.

Ok, first things first, this was in someone's private room not in the middle of a populated area. So they forgot to lock the door, easily done, how many people have had that happen in real life

now as this game is a 12+, if i had a child of that age, I would already have educated them on things like this as i don't believe that shielding them from it is any kind of preventative measure unlike some do, so if I wasn't supervising their online play then I would hope that they would leave the room. If however someone was talking to them in that manner it would be a different story, but that is not the point we were discussing

and where did the in front of children comment even come from, i was merely stating a game that may or may not be designed to initiate sexual contact. christ.

You are right, I am against stip poker and such things ...
But you did a mistake with this exemple, in this you don't have sex for winning the game but you win the game for having sex ...

I don't pretend to be holier, to be honest, being an atheist, it would be weird to pretend being a saint. I don't follow any religion, but I follow my own morale, I know that I am over reacting toward some things I categorise as immoral, sex without love is one of them, and all things that are, even slightly similar.

Non-only, cyber sex have nothing to do with love, I also categorise this act as exhibitionism. There are places and moments for each things. If you want to do this kind of things, please, do not do it on a video-game where you can be heard by other peoples.
Ok, they forgot to lock the room, for me it does not justify their behavior, and still they committed the mistake.

First one to say IBTL!

Anyhow, what they did may or may not have been wrong. Regardless of what they did, I don't think that it is approprate for a whole internet discussion on their personal issues. Everyone makes mistakes and personally I don't believe that I would be justified in judging anyone by any single action they perform.

As for the matter of what they did being wrong or a mistake, that is simply something that they have to decide for themselves. There is no guarentee that there will not be misconduct during online play, and parents should know that before leaving their children to play alone.

One day about 2 years ago in FFXI, I got a tele to Teleport Dem. As I was running around the left side of the Crag my log got filled with emotes(texted based player actions that can be altered to whatever the player wants it to say).

Well I call this form of cybering "Emote Fucking" because that was exactly what they were doing. You couldn't really go anywhere private cause someone is anywhere at any given time, so I guess they were like "oh well, lets just do this at a place where 50 players pop up per hour".
