Does anybody know if they might release a patch or an expansion through which you get offline multiplayer too?
For the XBox360 the expansion would be possible through market place and I really would like to get this mode...

Probly not, sega never once mentioned a Offline Multiplayer mode during the production and the future of this game.

I would personally be pissed if they did this. I bought another PS2 and 3 copies of PSU so my brother sister and I could play together. BUt I have a 360. So if they do this i will bust a aneurism

It would be nice though if they added weapons and clothing offline through a patch...

Definitely not split-screen, I know they simply would have to make too many revisions and cut-downs to do Split-screen on any machine. Are you talking about some way off future, in terms of doing something like that after the online-service for this version of the game loses support?

Maybe, in that situation, we would see such a thing. I know, on the Xbox version, I never really bothered with the Hunters license because my friends and I always could play together, offline. Sega probably wouldn't do that for risk of the same thing happening.

People just need to get any patch for offline out of their mind. Sega will never add anything to the offline modes. Ps2 can barely handle multiplayer online no way it can handle spilt screen unless you want 2 milimeter drawing distance and fps at .001.

If it's not on the PS2 version, then it's not gonna happen.

I think doing so would not be such a good idea. If offline multiplayer was available, Sega would probably lose money since people could meet up with their buddies and play the crap out of PSU offline building their characters. Also everything offline is unlocked right? So that would give even more means for people to hang out and play the game offline if multiplayer was available.

The PS2 and 360 version lag enough as it is. We don't need to give those whiners more to complain about.

So the answer is no.

Id like to see like a PSU plus version with the updated classes and Multiplayer for offline.

In order to do that they have to make everyone look stoned like in PSO.

Or, port PSU to the Gamecube. It can handle this game easily. It'll even use lense flares! <3

Well the XBox360 should also be able to handle the game more than easily and also the PC... Only problem should be the PS2...

Well: Maybe there will be an Addon through XBox-Marketplace and for PC or not...
Or maybe only Episode 2 will get offline Multiplayer or we will never see it again... Although I hope we do because if you ask me: That was why PSO got famous after all not because of the online part... And also: I don't play many games online (also not games which have no fee), I prefer to play through Network or multiplayer on a console instead of playing online...

I was finally yelled at yesterday for using Dambarta.

Not only did it lag this one PS2 guy when his screen was covered in frozen death particles, he also couldn't see anything because Dambarta eventually leaves a solid white/blue wall when it's animation overwrites itself.

Yeah, I've gotten my fair share of joking ("omg Remmy I can't see! Stop that, lol") and non-joking ("you stupid force, quit using that, it makes me lag!") harassment for using Damubarta.

In the case of the former, it's friends of mine, and I give them the same sort of silly hell for using knockaway attacks ("quit scattering my mobs or no more resta/shifta for you") and in the case of the latter, it's assholes who I merely boot/blacklist or leave their party. *shrug*

I just use whatever spell I want, regardless of how it hurts others. That's their problem not mine. x_X

I'll just punt everything all over random areas of the room... That's the FO's and RA's problems not mine... ;>.> Hell it's not like I need to heal when I do that so I've saving people money in the long run by my perspective. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

FO's and RA's have plenty of tools to tag everything when a HU is being difficult. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

There needs to be a LAN option. Then I could grab people hook-line and sinker.

Im a 360 player and Im not a whiner...hmph! *sprawls out on the floor and throws a tantrum* But really, I think most of the actual 360 whiners are trying to play on netzero internet and wonder why its lagging. One thing I think 360 and PC players have to complain about if they must complain, is how PS2 is holding the game back grapics wise...

Back on topic, I would love split screen for my friends who dont have xbl, but I dont want anything toned down for split screen. (Like in PSO where you all had to be in the same area, like one of you couldnt be on pioneer 2 while the other was down on ragol.)

You haven't seen me scatter enemies for the sole purpose of being an asshole... http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

RA's usually don't say much about it unless they're addicted to their shotgun or grenade launcher... >.>

FO's seem to gripe about it the most about wasting PP on thier "uber" spells just to have pretty effects go off on the screen and not hit anything...

Granted I usually don't start doing this until I get FT's that don't seem to know what resta is and they just just kiss my shiny metal ass if they think I'm going to blow a full load of mates because they don't want to heal but expect me to let everything swarm me...
