Gotta have the 4 buffs in there, but especially shifta and deband. Debuffs too especially if you are a wartecher.

If you don't have resta on your list it is automatically null and void.

That would be like a hunter saying elemental % isn't important.

lets have a top 36 force spell list

Ten techs isn't enough for all of the crap I have on my rods. My top eight alone would probably be support techs minus Zoldeel.

I'm one of those obsessive forces who perma-buffs on the run, debuffs hard hitters, nukes like mad and rarely lets anybody get below 2/3 HP. I blame OCD. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

OCD? Though I know what you mean by *not enough wands* syndrome. Just about any Technic-chucker goes through that, myself included. I put Resta high in my list only because of my personal belief that healers rule every RPG system ever created. Reverser is kind of wierd only because of its locational use. That is, you have to be where there are *status ailments* used against you to use it.

I'm curious as to how effective the MST buff is. If if makes a big difference on a status effect working on the party, then I really need to get off my bum and cast that one more. I've been doing more Shifta/Deband/Zodial on my party, though the Zodial has been a boon to myself and especiall Magician (when he starts using those hard hitting, but somewhat low ATA weapons).

OCD - Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Obsessive_compulsive_disorder)

I've never been diagnosed, but I'm 99% sure I would be if I saw a professional. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

As for Retier, I'll admit my motivation to use it is purely selfish. Sure the MST buff is a nice side-effect because everything outside of Parum shoots some kind of tech, but I really only care to cast it because it helps me (and other techers) nuke things dead. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

ok well i saved myself 13 spots for magic spells. i evened my pa's out a bit cause i didnt want to limit myself to only certain jobs. but anyways what i have rite now is

4 buffs
foie
diga
resta
reverser
dammegid

now that leaves me with 4 spells to learn and i was wondering what spells would be best to learn. especially when they are at higher lvls.

Megistar only works on the caster. Great for soloing. Selfish for parties.

Normally that's the motivation. I sometimes use it so that it makes my Guntecher techs more respectable; but if I see that it lowers the frequency of status ailments (like Megid), amongst the party; then you better believe I'll jump right on it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I think that which techs are most valuable to you really depends on what you're trying to do with the character. For my Wartecher, for example, I'm only really interested in the support techs, seeing as my entire goal for her is simply to be a hunter that can use supports. If I've got a few slots left after my weapon skills, bow/handgun bullets and support techs are all established, I may decide to hold on to a couple of Foie and Digga techs.

On the other hand, if you're going for an all-out nuker, then you'll want to leave the support techs alone, for the most part. At most, you'll want to be able to buff your MST and debuff mobs' tech defense, then focus on damage-causing techs, adding in resta and reverser as an afterthought.

Basically, you need to decide how you want to play this character and choose the PAs that best suit your play style. Any given class can be played in a variety of ways. A force can be a healer, a nuker, or something inbetween. A hunter can emphasize fast damage or massive damage. A ranger can concentrate on crowd control/suppressing fire, status inflicting, and so on. It all comes down to this: How do you want to play your character?
