If you use the lowest game settings possible, it will run just fine... the only thing is is that the loading screens take a bit and the damage lags sometimes. Otherwise, it runs like the PS2 >.<

Uh, yesh. And I do get the whole psu is slow comparison as molasses on PS2. I always worry when I hear my disk spin out of control T_T But does it work on all missions? Like when you have to load in De Ragan in a full team, will you get disconnected?

I only partied with a few people, and at these settings lag wasn't to hefty. Expect a boot from your fellow teammates for the load times though >.>

IDK, but for some reason it makes a difference on all of the machines I've played on.

btw those machines were incredible, so the hardware wasn't an issue.

Yeah, it really doesn't make sense that lowering the graphic settings would do anything in this case.
Just making sure nothing is using the connection should be enough.

One question, if you already have a phone line then why not pay the $12-$15 for DSL? Unless you live in the middle of nowhere or are just doing this for the hell of it.
