Stella/hit S question

Hi!
I just bought and equiped a Stella/hit S so I could raise my ATA and get a new bow. My ATA was 79, I equiped it and it was still 79. Anybody know what that's all about?

Basically the requirements for weapon count only your Base stats, so anything you use to raise certain stats will only take effect in battle and won't actually raise your base stat.

There's only two ways to raise your base stat, by levelling up and/or levelling up your class.
