If you only want screenshots, use the printscreen key. It adds a copyright mark to the image that way in the corner, though.

i use gadwin printscreen. freeware, can be mapped on one button other than prntscrn.. only letdown is that it fails at adding the date to the filename...

I used it in FFXI, it is pretty easy to use and does a good job.

Also you're going to want something like VirtualDub (http://www.virtualdub.org) to re-encode the enormous FRAPS AVIs to a more manageable size.
