Wanted to make a thread for those questions that arn't gameplay related or are focused on the setting PSU takes place in.

Example, and this is something I've honestly been wondering. There are items you can synth that're supposed to be Drinks right? If casts can use those, does that mean they have to eat like humans/numen/beasts have to, or just that they're merely able to?

Koltova Juice? Is that like Moo/Cow Juice (milk)? Or Juice as in a fruit, or juice as in blood/water from the skin? If the last, does it taste good that it's that popular? And how the hell does the ugliness of a Koltova determine the tastiness of the juice?

For that matter, are Distovas bulls to Koltova cows in the same way as RL Cattle?

I always wondered about the whole distova and koltova thing.

As for Casts drinking and eating, I'm sure that they would be able to eat them. After all, our bodies merely use acids and other chemicals to break down food to energy. The scientists probably would know how to replicate this and added it as another source of energy in case there are no power supplies nearby; kind of like in Back To The Future 2 the car is able to do that after an upgrade. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

What I wonder is if a cast can download anything and if it could travel the internet like Megaman Battlenetwork. Actually, I wonder how much hard drive space the average cast has..

(insert punchline)

Think of all the porn you could get!

Actually thats a real good question, which leads into my wondering if(assuming theyr'e able to download) theyr'e able to see/hear media files they download off the net/web/whatever. Assuming the answer is yes, would people/casts/whoever have created programs that include touch into the equation?

How long is the cast mind active before the shell is built? Is it independent of the shell like you would think of in a hard drive and computer? In non-military/specialty model casts, did they get to choose their own appearance or did they have to work wit ha preexisting shell and build from there?

Well, PSUpedia says that Kols, Dis, and Gols are all part of the Koltova (wonder what the latin name for it is - Fauxtaurus painintheassus?) So I'm assuming:

Koltova - cow
Distova - bull
Goldova - one of the larger cattle variants, like the Brahman, Texas Longhorn or (now extinct) Auroch.

I thought the distova were koltova, twisted/mutated by the SEED....

I found a board recently for Peroi mate or something like that...after sythning it I read the description and it said something along the lines of having all the nutriants casts need for one day. I wonder exactly what parts of the casts are squishy and what aren't. They can be poisined now so they have to have some sort of circulation system. But that also implys that they are more like cyborgs (think Wren) then bots.

Also why is it that drinks and food cost around M200 (board and ingrediants considered for cheapest possible item) and swords ONLY M350 (baord and ingrendiants alone make the sword well over M350)? Some food could be very expensive to make. So the kind of paycheck a non guardian would have to pull just to FEED himself would actualy be well over the kind of money even mid-ranked guardians make from S ranking a mission.

Maybe they're Cylons? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Maybe... but would random attack robots be like that too? I mean, in the train mission, I was infecting the bots left and right with damumegid... How the heck do you infect a robot...?

I've been always curious about infection and poison, even casts get them too. But shock and silence... quite a wierd couple. If you are shocked, then you can still use techniques, but if you are silenced you can use PAs.

Also when you die you appear in front of the gate and you're all better. Of course in PSO you would be in front of the doctor's office. I guess they wanted to eliminate that process.

Mm..Koltova Juice. To think that the bodyfluids of a Koltova could taste this good.

I found an item called "Koltova Milk" while fighting them before, so I assume it's like a cow.

The ugliness -> better juice is probably just some joke Hyuga made up...

Also Distova are most definately mutated versions of Koltova, play offline story chapter 2.

Goldova is a HORRIBLY mutated Koltova. Again, play offline story chapter 2.
