No. Generally, the grand majority of metalcore is shit. Trivium uses incredibly generic and recycled riffs (many of which are stolen from established, real metal bands) and they're vocalist tries so hard to sound menacing...and sucks at it. Usually the only people you see liking such bands know almost nothing about metal and are mallcore kids.

You'd be much better off with Anthrax and Megadeth.
