I used to be able to sell Photons for 50K each, now only Ray Photons sell for that much.

Just wonderring, how much have you been buying elemental photons lately for? (So I can price them accordingly)

I heard that the money duping has stopped, so are the prices of Photons back to normal?

(I've managed to sell non-ray's for 10-15K)

I would say that the average price for Photons is somewhere now in the 10-25K mark. With the end of Mta. duping (hopefully), I think that's the price range that it's going to stabilize somewhere at. Will it go down? Possibly, but likely not until a lot more players come onboard.

I personally put all mine at 5k meseta each, whatever the type of elem photon. And they sell extremely quick. I made 600k the other day like that.

GG (game guard) did a rollback to an older version... they cant fix the new problem so they go back to a working version...

so old CE (cheat editor) work again... every script kiddy are happy! so ur photon worth nothing... they can make 99photon in 12sec.

WTF? Why the hell is Sega even bothering with those idiots at GameGuard? Why not use a more reputable service, if not create one yourself?

They should have went with PunkBuster or BanHammer.

Sega wont put money on this game... u think they add new content? lol they just unlocking thing on ur disk...

Duping will always be possible, it will just become more difficult to do. UCEs (undetectable cheat engines) are always an option for the more experienced hacker. Also, when GameGuard updates or if they change the game...the new values can still be found out thru trial and error.

All they can do is make it very difficult to do, not impossible. THEN, the good hackers, the ones who are always working to find new values, update their UCEs and such, will form their own little circle and will no longer leak hacks to the scriddies. The hacked pop. will dwindle greatly and many of them will move on to smaller and weaker games.

EDIT: Removed inappropriate language

No, really? Is there any other obvious things you'd like to point out today?

The point that I was making (and that you completely missed) is that if Sega wasn't abusing ST into overmaking so many games, or had PSU been turned over to another group, things might have been improved.

Perhaps this will be rectified in an expansion disc (which, in case you weren't aware, is in the works), but we shall see.

Yeah, I probably should have asked for it on a golden platter as well, huh? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

It's not really Game Guard's fault. PSU is broken.

The client overrides the server, so you can edit values in memory, and the server will then believe it.
The game code would need to be updated, and that is outside of Gameguard's jurisdiction. You can't stop a rootkit from running, as it's part of the kernel. The whole mess is really Sonic Team's fault for not realizing after 6 years that you can't just slap Gameguard on top of some broken code. The only thing that could fix this is a patch to the GAME, which hasn't happened yet.

I have noticed prices fallin on photons recently. Personally I buy all I can find at no more than 10k for normal and 30k for Rays

I sell mine at 1.5k. A few lengthy solo runs a day keeps me stocked and nets me an easy 20-30k. Might not sound like much but it's enough for me to enjoy the game

I think the market for exorbarently priced items is diminishing... then again, I try to charge fair prices. Though that Rappy Feather I got (legitimately!) isn't selling, but I'm not suprised since all you can do with it is make a Rappy decoration.
