So far it seems there is no hope for the December 17 release of Xbox... Does any one have any insight on when it is coming? And/or who here will be joining me on xbox? Nobody knows. At least no information has been made public. Xbox support just says it will be released "soon", which doesn't really tell us a whole lot, and they really don't know much more than we do, it seems. The only solid date we know is the Japanese release date.

I don't know about your GC mem card problems... But if I had the GC version already, I would stick with it for a while and see how the Xbox version turns out. I myself don't have the GC version (at least not yet) so I'm trying to wait patiently (heh) for the Xbox version.

I'd be AMAZED if it was released before February. Well, January possibly, but seeing as there's been next to no information about this game (and even some possible misinformation, if the "new character" ends up being bogus), that's usually a sign that a company ain't ready to release it any time soon. However, it IS a finished product according to Naka, so it's theoretically possible for MS to whip it out and shake it around (sorry) sometime soon... But December? I don't see any reason for it to come out later than the JP version. It's already been translated, and the features they are adding (if any) probably don't require translation either. Besides, Microsoft is an American company, hopefully they will release it here before, or on the same date as the JP ver.

jp release is mid jan right? at least that's the date on sonic teams website i believe.... so considering it took a month to port GC ep i and ii stateside... can we all agree on a plausible feb release date for a domestic pso release for xbox?... 3 months hmm...

Right now, Phantasy Star Online Episode I and II for the XBOX is being Beta Tested with XBOX Live in Japan. The entire Japanese XBOX Live Beta Test ends with the launch of XBOX Live (and the release of PSO) on January 16th. There are two senarios that will determine the release date of PSO in the US:

1) Microsoft decides that PSO has been tested to its fullest extent before January 16th, decides that PSO is ready for the open market, and releases the game in the States before January 16th. In Japan, the game would be 100% ready for the XBOX Live launch in mid January.

2) PSO is directly involved in the Beta Test and continues to be the centerpiece of the Beta Test up until January 16th. The game is released with XBOX Live in Japan on that day, and is released in the States on January 16th, or shortly thereafter.


AFAWK, it could really go either way. In the US XBOX Live Beta Test, other games besides the "centerpiece" games (Whacked & MotoGP) were tested, so that could be a sign that the PSO Testing could wrap up before launch day. Of course, all us in the States are hoping that this is the case.

Microsoft PUBLISHES it, not produces it, producing & making are the same thing. Arg, some people need to brush up on their vocabulary >_<.

I dunno where i saw this but i was lookin through something and it said PSO for the xbox is to release on 1.16.03. If u Xbox players are lucky, it will come out by then.
