PSU-XBox 360: Demo Weekend w/ Sonic Statue (an update from C

Clumsy posted this on the official PSU forums, it clears up a bit of confusion about how to get the statue:


Hey guys, just here to clear up some confusion on this Statue item. All participants in the DEMO weekend can receive the item, not only new customers. If you have a current subscription to PSU and have a GOLD account to Xbox Live, you can download the DEMO and play during the specific time, and receive the statue. You MUST have an active subscription after the DEMO weekend to get the SONIC statue!

So save your money if you were planning on getting a new Gold account if you already had a subscription. It's open for everyone.

So, does it expain exactly when you have to play and how to obtain the statue? Do you just have to log in? Do you have to play for x number of hours? Do you have to kill De Ragan at least 28 times???

Have an Xbox 360 and still want to try out Phantasy Star Universe? Well, you're in luck! The Phantasy Star Universe demo has returned to the Xbox Live marketplace and is free to download and play (Xbox Live Gold membership is required, although the retail version is playable with only Xbox Live Silver). Demo players will be on a server separate from the current retail PSU 360 players and the game client and server are online right now.

As part of a special promotion, Sega is hosting a "Sonic Demo Weekend" on February 3rd and 4th. Players who try the demo on those days and purchase a Guardian's License before February 28th will receive a limited edition Sonic Statue room decoration. The Sonic decoration is limited to one per GamerID and Guardian's License:

Yeah, it works for me...the demo is just a re-release of the public beta.

It makes sense really. If Sega can entice existing players to play the demo over the weekend, the game will look more populated for those trying it out for the first time. We're doing them a favour by playing the demo, so hopefully they'll return the favour.
