I think DJ quit, and Cherry is leveling the Nosu side by side with my Megid to see if Megid's proc rate will be worth it to try to cap quickly. Nosu spells will be reliable.

At least I hope. I'll drag her by her little ponytails all across Gurhal if I have to. We gonna test them side by side. >_>;

What PAs are coming out, again? fists, dual claws, dual daggers, dual sabers, and single claw? The handgun PA is coming out as well, right?

Sweet! New GUARDIANS mission means Chapter 5 next week. I can hardly wait! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

If the new PAs means the TECHNIC/Skill/Bullet License missions are added, then I've got some PA Fragment earning to do. To buy all of the TECHs that I want, I'll need 464 Fragments. So far, I've got... six. <_<;

Zorafim
Feb 3, 2007, 12:15 AM
I think I need 200 PA fragments to get myself. 75 for the twin claw PA (I'm sorry, but the PAs that claws have right now are horrid), 50 for the handgun PA (self healing FTW), and 75 for the knuckles (I'll leave this on the back burner). If I'm not mistaken, that's all the PAs a fortefighter would be interested in (I'm trying to shy away from the fighgunner weapons).

So, um, this means that I should grind mad creatures, right? Is there some other mission that many people tend to do S ranks on?

Every time you get an S rank on an S level mission, you get a PA fragment. You trade a certain amount of them in for a Photon Ability (These are still unreleased).

Lyrise plays on the JP server, and it takes significantly longer than zonde to level. It basically requires the same number of hits as zonde, except it moves half as fast, uses 5x the PP, and has a chance of insta killing, which means the number of potential targets is reduced.

You guy's are forgetting that (according to PSUPEDIA) the Network Story modes, on A rank, if you get S on them, you get 10 PA Frags. Just do the first Act 1 Mask Mission, where you fight a few monsters and find the Seed Plant specimens with the goggles. Seems easy enough.

This is only a 1-time deal. And not every race/class combination has the ability to do this on every chapter. It usually takes a level 70+ to get some of them done.

They seem pretty hit or miss just like all other skills. The consensus on the twin claw PA appears to be "if your evade is too high, then its bad".

The main problem with the twin dagger one is the fact that it launches both up and away from you. Combined with its very short range, it means that the 3rd part of the combo can be hard to hit with. And even the 2nd against some monsters can be hard to hit with.

Splendor Crush a lot of people dislike. But supposedly its good for mobs of a large number of monsters. (Like Labs)

Lyrise probably has better information on them than me. He's maxed all classes (yes, all) and had experience with most of the ult PAs. I know he overwrote the twin dagger PA and the Twin claw one because they weren't useful to him. I beleive the only melee one he kept may have been Splendor Crush.

EDIT: I'd think I should point out first, that I call Nosu spells broken because they are literally broken. Though the damage can be called broken in the sense of "unbalanced". I actually mean that Nosu spells are broken in the sense of "glitchable and exploitable".

You have no idea what you're talking about. Generally speaking, Nosu is cast almost point blank. Sure you can use it at range. But at range its by no means broken. Its just alright.

Theres this concept that we commonly call "Nosu Spamming". Its technically the exploitation of a glitch (shift-canceling). But its far far worse than what can be done with damubarta. It only really has 2 restrictions.
1) You need a ton PP reserves
2) You need a mei/quick or haru/quick

Then, when cast up close, you can cancel it repeately, allowing you to cast it say... 3-4x as fast as it was meant to be cast. And in the case of Nosu Diga (the most commonly used one), every bullet is AoE, staggers, has a chance for stun, and deals about the same as Ra tech. Only you can cast it way faster than you can cast any Ra tech.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QravSmD9C3A

So youtube to illustrate. I start by casting it normally a few times. Then I start up a spam against the air to illustrate just how broken it is. Then I run in and annihilate some stuff with it.

I realize this video is offline.. Yet it seemed like the cancel method made it like a 20 PP casting? (almost free)

If that's not the case for online then I can get the point in the speed and damage.

Meh, kinda sad that the new melee PAs are expensive and less useable then the current ones too. However it's good to know. Thanks http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

Technically speaking, offline it does cost 20. And online as a fT it costs 52. In that video it technically WAS free because I froze the area of memory where my PP is stored.

Online speaking, it should be roughly the same casting speed, and it will deal as much damage as you would online with a ra-tech. I'm just trying to illustrate the speed and damage potential.

Spam Mad Creatures S today like everybody else who is low on the frags. If you want an ult PA on an alt, drop the PA Frags in the common box and let them get it themselves. lol

Understood. Let me know when you're making the new character, MayLee. Ask for "Mufonna". Just don't let the Hyenas hear you say it. It sends a chill up their spine.

For PA Frags, Tynselle's been doing a lot of S-Mad Creatures lately. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I can't wait till I get NosuZonde. Heat-seeking electro-spheres that inflict shock. Then I'll get Nosdiga. I'll wait till later for megid since I never liked Barta or Zonde even if megid can have a slight chance at insta-kills. I'm actually not a fan of dark techs. I wonder if Giresta will be worth PA frags?

They need the Ultimate Ultimate PA to be released: 'Fury of Chuck Norris's Beard'

Actually it's level 20 something with a 38% ground axe. I don't have a 50% axe sorry, but I've been trying, don't get me wrong. Synthed 50% Gudda Gants today so I'm happy for now.

Anyways, I'da just liked more hunter PA's being released since rangers get one for each weapon, and forces get at least one of each element. Instead hunters got a handful of weapons I hardly use or don't even like altogether.

I don't know what there is to complain about. First of all, hunters do enough damage. Second of all, I feel well contented with this update. I get half of FF's arsenal in PAs, plus I get to look like a boxer, ninja, and dragoon all at once. Beyond that, I get a way to heal myself without using mates. I don't see where the lose is.

BTW I'm guessing we arent getting any new clothes. But didnt the JP servers get trencoats by this update O_O?

Argh, I can't decide what to pick...

I want dark techs for my recreated force, but seeing how she's only lvl 10 atm, I'm not sure if I should just wait. Nosumegid looks interesting and so does megid, but maybe waiting it out to see what others have to say about the spells might be a better idea.

The other one I want to get is the Card BA. Although I'm not sure if it get's 3 attacks or not, and as Itsuki said, the HP drain isn't that great. But being the card fan I am, I might get this. Just don't know if I should get it first or the spells =/

I'm a Fortefighter but Twin Sabers are my main weapon so I don't really mind too much, I personally didn't feel too shafted. I'll definately be getting splendor crush after I max out assault crush, which may be pretty soon, its almost at level 29 now.

So, after I got my 75th PA fragment, I get this familiar message across the top of my screen: The maintenance will begin in ten minutes.

I had just enough time to store and shop my rares and to buy a cheapy 7* dual claw to prepare for tomorrow. My striking PA will be ready by then too, so I should be able to get my arsenal.

I been there.. that's too much complaining spread out. They should centralize it. It's more entertaining that way.

That way people complain to one another about complaining to one another. It's actually like reading a funny book or something.

Keeps me from being upset about it. Lol I wouldn't be surprised if the Sonic Team did stuff like this just to see what people would say so they'd get a laugh. (I'd sure as hell do it.)

PSU is my anti-drug Imma still play. Just have to wait, is all.

That new one they just added?

Honestly I neglect the online story missions. Spptt *Thumbs down* Cause the first two were lame and didn't even hold my interest.

I was all like "Wuh! This is crap right here.. story isn't even catching.."

Cause.. if it hooks my attention I usually stick with it.. then again.. I've lost intrest in some things... like.. Naruto. *Thumbs down* fillers suck especially 20000000 of em..

But anyways.. back on topic.. Mayhaps I'll play that Hive one... then I can play the new ones... /pif

Oh man, am I the only one excited about how much farther than just the offline story this is branching off of? This is starting to branch off the fucking INTRODUCTION to the game in the manual! I'm so excited. And when they said, "A-Photon Bomb," it wasn't just a, "Oh, is THAT all." That was like "HOLY FUCK WE GOTTA STOP THEM!" And Ethan clearly not being a bad guy, but they did it in such a way was just... awesome. Best story mission ever. <3

Also, anyone else notice, when you select the mission, it's like, "Valley of Suspicion," but when you play the quest, it's called, "Canyon of Intrigue?" I thought that was interesting.

When I first saw Ethan walk up to the reactor things or whatever they were and say those almost evil lines, I couldn't help but imagine his voice actor saying them. Totally killed the mood of the moment but I couldn't help it http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Kinda wish Ethan really was evil though, such awesome clothes going to waste...

EDIT:I take great offense to the possibility of having my race destroyed...wish I did something more than MOVE AND NOD!! </vent>

The new mission IS awesome, the only thing that didn't really make sense to me is why Ethan is wearing the awesome new clothes. There really wasn't any big change in his character to give him a new look.

To be honest, I didn't look much into it. I just thought it was an awesome costume that made me happy. But, as Laia said, it looked very roguish (It escapes me how clothes can be defined as roguish, especially those XD Looked more formal to me), probably just to signify his relations with the rogues. And that doesn't mean he's a bad guy... we know from the end of Chapter 12 that the rogues helped them out, and I think that's what the rogues are doing here again.

Theory spoiler!

I mean, I think we all got the same idea when we heard the president was attempted-murdered, but from the sounds if it, it really does sound like the president is evil. It was kinda a funny moment. Ethan's like, "I need to find out who I can trust," and it kinda hit me and I'm all, "HOLY FUCK THE PRESIDENT IS HUMAN!" XD
