Feed it items or weapons to increase it's stats. It evolves at LV20, 50 and 80.

You are refering to a PM (Personal Machine)

They 'change' or evolve based on what you feed them. To feed them an item you go unter 'P. Functions' and select 'Give Item'. A PM can eat up to 99 items in a 12 hour period, after which you need to wait.

Depending on what stats you raise, you will be gain better synthesis rates on certain items. For example raising striking grants you the ability to better make melee weaponry, tech for magical weaponry, range for range weaponry, and armor for armors. They evolve at 20, then again at 50, and finally at 80.
