GC: Need help with saving

Hi, I just got PSO for GC yesterday and my brothers and I played it til we got to Cave 2 and decided to call it quits for the night and went to pioneer 2 and said game exit and we quit. Now this morning we get up to play and our characters have all their stats and items but we have to start all over at Forest 1! There was no menu to choose Cave 2. Could someone please explain how to save our progress. The same thing is happening on my one player too. Please help yes I am quite a newb but I do need help. Thanks for your time.

The game only saves which areas you've beaten when you're in single player offline.
Forest, caves, mines, ruins, entire gal de val island (doesn't save progress of the ministages jungle, mountain, seaside, central control.), and seabed.

... both vr stqages too, but who bothers with those? ;3

Strangely enough the only time my waypoints are saved is in the beginning of the level (ex. Caves 1), or when I beat the level. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

You can only save the level you've been to in 1 player mode. Once you beat the Forest for example, you must go to the principal and talk to him. This way the next time you play the game you will be able to go straight to the Caves.
