I was just randomly talking to my party about this idea.

In PSOBB, you could easily swap the .ogg files and have new music for your areas. I want to bring back some PSO music into my runs. Does anyone know if this can be done?

Get MP3s of old PSO music, turn off game music, run winamp in background

If on 360, Copy MP3s to CD and then Copy CD onto 360

Well yes I realize that, but I mean as in blue burst you can literally replace the music files that play in the game

Well those are the only ways I know of

It can be done, as the game uses CRI's ADX format for compression. The fun part is finding the files in that mess. There are some utilities to make your own ADX files around... a lot of Sonic Team games as far back as the Sega Saturn utilize this codec. Good luck.

If you have a 360 and a USB MP3 player (iPod, Zen etc) then you can simply plug it into the 360 via USB.

FYI, the iPod support "patch" is no longer available since the Zen was released. So if you don't have it already....

I could use my iPod even without it. Downloaded it anyway. ;]

even if you could replace the music, its easier and better to just use an external program to play other music. you wouldnt have to listen to the same song for each area. and if you wanted to listen to something else other than old PSO music you can. replacing the music is kind of a waste of time

PC version here. I leave the sound and music to 2. That way when I get tired of my mp3's, the sounds and music are loaded already and don't take forever to reload it.

I'm currently listening to Gundam Seed Destiny - Bokutachi no Yukue.mp3

But I don't use winamp. I use Windows Media Player Classic for all my .ogg, .mp3, and various AMV's I watch while playing PSU in window mode.
