The Rygar 3D update game was .. okay ... old school Rygar was teh sweetness.

i've never played the arcade version, i think i saw screens and it did look a bit different. but how different could it really be?

The arcade version didn't have much of a feel like an adventure role playing game that it did on NES. But the arcade one was definetely much faster and demanded quick reflexes, more a true side scroller. Left to right mostly. Both fun for different reasons. The NES version only sucked because you couldnt save the progress at all. So you HAD to pass it in one sitting.

I said "only" as in that was the only thing bad about it. The NES version is still one of my old favorites. I even still have the original.
