1. Which one is better in general?

2. Which one is better for my ForteGunner Cast?

3. And is it a good idea to have a PM 'opposite' to your Character? (for ex. a Hunter character with a Technic PM).

It depends on whether you're making a PM for Synthing or for Combat. If it's for combat I would recommend a 420 since it makes a good meatshield and enemy distraction for Forces and Rangers. If it's for synthing then definately 430 since it would be the best at synthing weapons you need with its high range stat.

3)It really depends on taste. However, typically Rangers and Forces will find a 410 or 420 most useful since they're meatshields and keep the enemies off them saving money. For Hunters a 450 works well and saves them money as it heals quite a bit, casts Jellen and recently recieved a large damage boost as well. Really though, for any class any PM works, certain ones just save certain classes money.

420 if you want this stat set up:

90 Tech
10 Strike

I'm a Ranger & I decided a nice bit of close-combat assistance would be quite nice, but I've balanced it out so that the stats are currently: 30/30/10/13

I could have done without the 10 in Technic, but I didn't know much of PMs when I started...

My 410 is bloody wonderful though, nice & high % on synthing (just need to work on Armour) & she kicks ass in close, once I get her AI up I get the feeling there won't be much she'll allow near me...

???? I don't understand that one...

But I did raise a 450 for my FigGunner, and she heals quite well. She made solo grinding S-Rank Linear Line missions a little bit easier.

Now working on the one for my ForteGunner.

This is the greatest Potential a 420 PM can reach... and it's synthing tech not strike OR ranged.

how to make:
Raise strike to 10 (so at lvl 20, it will become a 201 PM)
raise tech to 90 (once it is the blue PM, the tech stat wont effect it's developement so you can spam it all the way up to lvl 100.)

Evolution Route:
101 (red)
201 (blue) b/c strike reaches 10
302 (cat) b/c srike stays lower than 30
420 (Claw Girl) b/c range stays lower than 30

One note though, You may have to raise the PM to 11 strike, to ensure that it becomes the blue and not green PM.

yeah...i'm pretty sure anyone who can think their way through the mechanics of a PM knows all this info...just putting it into one compiled list...same as with the checklist i made that i think everyone thinks is useless but i'll still eventually finish for myself ^.^

I myself made a 430 for my fortefighter. Why? Because she's too damn cute. Once I got enough haxeta, I made a 410 on a second character to satisfy my melee weapon need (read: to fail every synth she starts).

I don't know much about the 430, but if you're a ranger or force, I'd say go with the 420. Bring your 420 along with you in Agata S and watch her lay day the ownage! I can't wait until I finish my 420 on my Guntecher.. (Well, to finish, I guess I would have to get started. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif)

Forces don't really lose too much money to taking hits though, unlike the other types, because of Resta. And even the cheapest rods have like 700 PP.
