So I'm Finally able to Solo S Rank HIVE...WooHoo!

......well at first I was able to get part way through (half of block 2) in under an hour....but had to quit due to dying 10 times for every 1 kill...http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif...

But now I'm level 55 Fortetecher and I party with my 100 PURE GH410 and Laia and I can actually solo the Whole Thing http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif Yay.....although I must say it's NOT worth it unless you have some sort of luck..all I got with 0 luck was 1 Junaline....and some other lame...LAME rares....like Kersaline....YUCK!

...and with 1 Star luck I have gotten much more, like a Deathmaker board http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif...best rare I have ever found...yet.

So the HIVE is Definatley worth doing....and if you can, I suggest soloing it as well.....nothing worse than seeing that Board for example go to someone else....Nothing worse!

Hey, I'm all for partying but I only do it when I'm in it for the quick EXP/MESETA/CLASS PTS....or just cuz soloing is boring at times.....really boring! But back to what I was saying I saw someone pick up a Cometara the other day in a party of only 3 and the other 2 didn't even Need it but I actually did and got screwed just the same....

So to make this thread at least useful....post similar experiences AND OR post what you are able to Solo right now and the class/level etc that you are..

I wouldn't have started this but the forum seems to be dead at the moment....needs something fresh!

Soloing S-Rank HIVE is either horrible tedious, or very expensive (if you're a ranger-derivative class, you can throw burn traps at everything and it's fairly easy). Bit of a gamble unless you have meseta to burn, but one good weapon or board drop and those traps pay for themselves.

And sometimes they do anyway, if you get lucky with meseta drops.

Wrong, the HIVE gives more mission points than any other mission.

HIVE C rank gives more missions points + meseta than all other missions on C. And B rank gives you more meseta and mission points than most B and A rank missions.

So, everyone brings scapes to those missions, but if you use one, you have no skill....by that logic, if you are indeed one of the "skilled", why bring them in the first place? You don't need them anyway.

BTW, IMO having a scape on you is insurance. EVERYONE has been hit by the stray Megid blast or has gotten paralyzed and no one was there to help or has just gotten to cocky/lazy/confident and lost track of their health from time to time. Using a scape in a mission does not denote zero skill....using 10 scapes in a mission, well, yeah, but using one or two is not bad.

Can't do that. As a GT, I MIGHT, and I say, I MIGHT be able to solo it when I'm max level and maxed in my class. Though I have to admit, I was in a party getting killed in it, and we had people in the 60s, in there. Actually, naw. I wont be able to come up with a similar experience. My class wont allow it, unless I somehow score a full set of extremely rare items.

Right now, as a 55, I do single digits on the last guys on HIVE S. That's right. Single digits. Not even 10.
