View Full Version : PC/PS2 monthly meet ups? do you agree?

Retsuya
Feb 7, 2007, 11:12 AM
like in the Xbox360, people are starting to gather up and enjoy the game
I was just wondering if the people in the PC/PS2 server would also like to do the same?
another thing is that everyone can swap cards and trade items when needed

also if possible, can anyone sudgest which universe and place is the best place to meet up except uni2...

It should be uni 15. and yup, I m surely agree

I have been trying to organize events and meetups for PSOW members on PC/PS2 version but things haven't been according to plan for me lately.

I did plan one for this month on the Feb 3rd but that didn't work out for me. Something came up at the last minute and I couldn't make it....and well I guess no one decided to continue without me even though I wanted it to still go on. Last month (January) had quite a few meetups for PC/PS2 and I decided to cancel planning one then (oddly enough a few of those events were cancelled...).

I probably won't be organizing anything until things at home settle down and I decide what I'm going to be doing in the future. I just hope thigns are back to normal soon for me.

The PSOW PC crowd is like, having PC problems.

Remedy, aka AFK-chan is AWOL until her PC works.
DJ went trick-or-treating and never returned.
Rizen left us for the 360. ( http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif )
Vhex idles far more than he socializes.
Ryuki dances on uni15 at Raffon Field Meadow.

The others? I haven't seen them since the first PSOW player meet.

I think they all left? lol

I'd love to show up and shove my elitist views on a nice, big crowd. >:3

I'd love to. I currently play only with GF and another friend of mine, basically because Vent > typing and my general distrust of random internet meatballs (that, and sharing loot = less drama). That said, I'm all for getting together with some thoughtful / intelligent people and actually forming a party of > three for once.

We always play on Uni 15, so that'd be my preference.

For the last time, I am not leaving the PC/PS2 version....

I'm really sick of this going around. I already had to spend hours trying to tell my friend that I wasn't quitting and I'm pretty sure that there is going to be plenty more later this week...So please...stop it.

I'd be up for a meetup on Uni. 15, that's where I usually hang out.

Rizen it should be obvious to you by now, but if it's not I'll tell you.

You sir have this uncanny ability to bring people together. "Shit happens" and it's RL > a meet up. But don't ever expect it to "go on without you". http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I'd just show up to blacklist you http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif.

Thing is though I want to be able to plan events and if something happens it will still go on. Hopefully I will be able to get something together soon.

Monthly meetings? Sounds like a good idea. I'd love to meet some new people. Even though I see alot of PSOW people in game I rarely get around to talk with them (those I already know are an exception of course). Anyway, would be great to see the community gathered and stuff.

I would show up to them .. It would be an chance for me to get some exposure, people still have no clue who I am when I say hi to them ... Im feeling rather pathetic now *lol* ... Maybe this will change that. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Establishing some kind of schedule is nice... but remember there are still more PSU PC/PS2 players out there than PSOW encompasses... The word should be out there in the main forums rather than just here with the psow regulars.

I know who you are. I killed you and your little Gigas Stonemason buddy in Delkfut's Tower the other day.

Nono, but seriously. We need something to bring the PC crowd together. Something once or twice a month. Especially with the current state the game is in. >.<

The Cafe is fine. If you add in too much work for just a meeting you'll find that not many people will show up. Make it easy. ;3

The Cafe is a nice spot. Cute place, cute waitress and enough Koltova Juice for everyone. I'm still amazed the bodyfluids of a Koltova can taste that good.

Actually, I'd alternate between months. For example:

Mtg 1, month 1 - Parum Cafe
Mtg 2, mo. 1 - Gawik's Pub
Mtg 1, mo. 2 - By the shrine
Mtg 2, mo. 2 - Central Table (or by the unused store on level 3)

That way it gives people a chance to decide if they want to play "that round" or not instead of feeling somewhat forced to have to default to whatever the present meeting location is.

Is that Clear? or do you want me to change it?

instead of the central table or the unused store there are chairs and space available in the make up store.

Mtg, month1 - Parum Cafe
Mtg, month2 - GAwik's Pub
Mtg, month3 - by the shrine
Mtg, month4 - MaKE over Shop or Central Table

I'm all for it. It'd be a nice way of meeting some more people (quite a few of my Partner cards have remained dark for quite some time.) This is of course, provided, that FFVI doesn't eat my soul for the next week and permanently crash my GPA for this semester.

And directed towards Morwen, "MOMMY!!" (Imaginary cookies for people who get the reference.)

PS - I'm guessing the times presented are PST based?

Wouldn't it be better a bit earlier? Most of us Europeans are in GMT+1 and that makes it 01.00 in the night. Not very suitable for those of us that have work/school in the morning. 2 hours earlier would probably make a lot more of the EU players able to show up

Or just put it on a friday or saturday..

I'll go, might be nice to actual meet some of you guys in game ^.^

Not that I've posted much on the boards anyway, but meeting some new people is never a bad thing, right?

And majorly off topic, but...
@Garnet_Moon: It sounds like you play FFXI too, so if I'm not mistaken, what server are you on? I still play sometimes ^.^;

So, is this like a casual meet-and-greet sort of thing? Like just hanging out in the lobby meeting people? I'd really like to come, but I'm not sure if I'll be make it at 6:00 EST. Do you think if I showed up around 6:30 people would still be around (not that you can see into the future, but yaknow, a guess? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif)
