I was wondering everytime i go online i see so many good items, granted i have a number of rare items also. However these were low level characters like 80 ish with Double Cannons, Photon Shperes (2) and the Parasite Wear Laf..... whatever it's called. I swear someone is duping somewhere, what are your views? I realise that this is a taboo subject but it's really beginning to bug me as i know ST made it easier this time round to find rares but come on that would of taken on 180 drops to get both spheres.

While I can't say much for the Double Cannon, the Photon Drops aren't that hard to come by and anyone could get 180+ of them by now, either by trading with friends or playing a lot. My main character alone has gotten about 50+, most of which I've used to get addslots and a Parasitic Cell type D. I'm only 2 away from another Cell which I will use to get Negal.
Duping is definitely taking place. From what I've personally witnessed there appears to be a ring of 'hackers' passing goods out to anyone that wants them.

Even Spy acknowledges that it isn't me giving out those dupes...

I acknowledge no such thing.
But I will admit that there are other people hacking out there besides you and clara at this time, and they are doing a bang-up job in all regards. The only member that is really publicly known is "poser" Melissa, who was really only brought to the attention of the general community by you, Barubary(which raises some rather intering questions if you think about it). The other members are doing a good job of keeping low-key and are changing characters frequently.

It's definately a smooth operation. I've witnessed several people in the lobbies yelling things such as "WHO WANTS SPREAD NEEDLE/DOUBLE CANNON". These, apparently, are just morons who have no affiliation with this group headed by the fake Melissa. They seem to not advertise, and we really can't pin down members of them unless someone got a guild card from one. They seem too smart for that, though...

Sup Blade
There was a big 'showdown' in one of the lobbies this morning over duping etc..
General concensus was that it sucked-most thought it wasn't possible as of yet to dupe/hack
Guess they were wrong
For me, this won't ruin anything. As with V2, I'll just trade with close friends.
For those of you other peeps who think this is a BAD thing, I suggest you do the same.
We all knew it was going to happen, albeit not this soon.

If I were a hacker with Barubary's status and following, I'd start a dupe ring and have lackies dump inventories to the masses. The thing of it is that Barubary is trying to keep a good public image, but really likes to show off what she can do.
Why I have trouble buying the fake Melissa theory is that any hacker wanting to discredit or ruin Barubary's "good(hah hah hah)" name could find a much more effective and devastating method than passing out dupes. The other thing about Barubary is she loves attention, bottom line. How can see be descretely in the spotlight? Say a duped character is doing it.
So, my bet is Barubary is playing both sides against middle, not that she's done much at this point as far as anti-hacking goes except to confirm that she tried and failed NOLing and PKing.

No worries Barubary, we know that's not your style. You're there to test yourself against Sega's security system, not pass out dupes or share around twink codes or make other people's lives miserable.
Not that your codes would do anyone much good. Somehow I doubt you're using a standard Gameshark for your hacks http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

Your not Mr. Perfect bar. You have brought the items from the japanese version!!!! OK I'm not going to mention any names but this is what happened:
A good friend of mine found out that I had released the US Dupe code (this was before it was patched). Well this person (very good friend of bar) gave me about 90 items to dupe. These items were extremely rare and keep in mind this was 3 days after the game was released. This person said bar transfered them over for him/her. Anyway I was going to but character kept getting corrupted. But the moral of the story is half those items consisted of demo comet, ruby bullet, spread needle, double cannon, yak rifles. So bar you think your not at fault think again. K THX BAI

Cmon I'm also having trouble buying the fake bar story. Put yourself in the dupers shoe's. Are you going to make a character with some OTHER hacker's name and go out giving items????? UH NO! Your gonna make a guy and give out the items so you get credit for your work, not someone else! COMMON SENSE!

Wow. You are an ill-informed hunter.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
That was just too funny. I'm sorry for being an idiot. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif
Anyway... These people have probably discovered some other method of duplicating items. I wouldn't surprised if there were more discovered, to be honest. Just look at the previous versions of PSO, look at the dozens(or should I say hundreds?) of bugs, that people have been able to exploit on the previous versions of PSO. To me, this latest version seems to have more bugs than any of the previous ones.
For one, the game crashes at RANDOM!
Oh well. This game has become more of a chore to me, than a game that's meant to be fun.
One last thing... please don't call it a smooth operation...
