Server update length

Ok, I've never stayed up to see when the servers come back online. How long does it normally take? Does that time ever vary?

Servers will be back up at 4am PST (7am EST), that's roughly 3 hours and 35 minutes from now.

Actually, isn't it 3 AM? I could swear it is, because when I was in TX still, the servers would come up at 5-ish AM.

Yeah, I was in TX since even before PSU came out in Japan.
