View Full Version : How can you ditch the Goggles?

I thought I'd give the first Guardian Mission a try (Ep2?). After running about scanning the plants with the Goggles (whee fun) the trial ended, and I chose to abandon the mission as I was falling asleep.

I got back to my room and discovered I wasn't able to store the Goggles either in my PM or Common Box.
I then tried to sell them to an NPC ... no go. (Same goes for player trades I'm guessing).
I started a mission and tried dropping the Goggles .... no luck there either.

How on earth can I get rid of these Goggles?! They're taking up valuable inventory space http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Please don't tell me I have to finish the entire mission I really really dislike these story missions and have no intention of ever playing one again ...

You CANT get rid of them

Not a bad thing BTW, you can use em in none-story Missions to find traps, knock down trees and they help in Bruce

LOL I just tried feeding them to my PM (I mean really - she'll eat anything!) but sadly, no.

Guess I'm stuck with them then http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_cry.gif

AND if you didn't know, they do take up a space in your inventory. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Would be nice if they used something similiar to the key items in FFXI... you can hold onto them forever and they dont use an inventory slot ;;

Well, as a GUARDIAN, you are required to have goggles, they are standard equipment http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

expect to have atleast three spaces taken up by story items: goggles Photon reflector, and Eraser.

Play a WT or GT - they carry tons of one handed weapons and guns, and that's valuable inventory space.

Thank you BahnKnakyu. Carry'n wands for buffs/debuffs and extra off hand weapons are a must for me as a GT. Not to mention different bows/rifles with diff elements on them.
I'm start'n to think I gotta start dumping my clothes so I can free up 3 more slots.

A girl's gotta have slots to pick up more goodies throught out the missions, no? Plus it sucks now without a Telepipe from PSO days. Would be nice if you're allowed to dump your findings into your PM between EACH mission. Instead of being stuck within these tree branch structured missions they got.
Guess they thought TP'n was cheesy in PSO.

The 4 gate switches in the 1st block are color-coded I believe.

if your in a party that will wait for you , just go to your room, dump your stuff and teleport back to the field. simple
i always have the goggles in my pallette, i like the thought of checking stuff and finding a secret http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

The place were you see the 4 things you have to to stand in on the correct order to allow people throught the gates. The switches each have a color orb witch matches its gates. Plus I have found the goggle helpful. Find me a few rares from cutting down trees.

Aye. Finding Ebons and Walnas from trees makes my Goggles worth that one space.

Mostly wood, though.
