An End Of The Rainbow mission could be fun. And leprechauns hiding out in a few peoples rooms.

Oh, and lotsa green beer.

Do the Japanese even celebrate St. Patricks? If they don't get it we definatly won't.

St. Patricks? Doubtful.

Easter?

Easter Egg (http://www.pso-world.com/psu/items/889/1022-m.jpg)

Definitely.

The japanese dont celebrate St. Patty's day for two reasons:

1. You'd be hard-pressed to find a Japanese Irishman.
2. The Japanese are merely amateur alcoholics and have no real skill in imbibing spirits.

That's completely wrong. The Japanese do celebrate St. Patrick's day as of recent (meaning within the last 10-15 years or so). To them, it's like Christmas, another imported Western holiday with which to have fun. I've had the fun of seeing a couple of St. Paddy's day parades on the Ginza back when I was stationed in Japan back in the mid-90s, and again when I visited in 2000.

Oh, and for the "pics or it didn't happen" crowd:
some pics from Google:

one from the Irish Embassy in Tokyo:

and, related, a St. Paddy's Day run in South Korea

Does this mean we'll have Raprichauns running all over the place for St. Rappy's Day? No idea, as it would honestly depend on how much Sega would be willing to program for other nations. If so, you have to keep in mind that we'll start seeing a lot more holidays this way, and many of them not tied into JP or US/CA/NA comprehension. While I'm sure the French wouldn't mind a Bastille Day Rappy event or the British a Guy Fawkes Day Rappy event, it would ultimately mean more special events - assuming they made it past the JP servers.

Im sure youre correct, however, my statements still hold true.
You'd be hard-pressed to find a Japanese Irishman and alcoholics dont come more professional than those of the Irish variety.

i dont think they will to be honest . i mean u ever heard of anything happening on St. George's dy etc ...
Its not a major holiday to anyone but the irish so i cant se eit happening..

Just the universal holidays i would have thought.. E.g christmas,Valentines day, Easter, Halloween..
Shame though as i think we need more events this side of the globe for players..
I mean they japanese have events all the time and i mean "all the time" ...

And if you attended the valentines day event on our servers the other day ..
I cant think of one reason why they would want to give us another.. Thanks to all the spamming abusive people who turned up to the event ...

Now add inebriation and a rowdy disposition and youve got the makings for an interesting St. Patty's Day event!!!

Obviously you've never met a Russian. I swear, those people occasionally get blood in their vodka system at times.

Aside from that, I suspect that it'll most likely be the universal holidays (and maybe some Japanese ones "translated" over). Though it would be nice to see someone sponsor a few events now and then like they have over there.

yeah i'd like to see this too but.. I dont think anyone is going to sponsor a game which has never had any kind of advertisment what so ever..

I mean if i never played pso for years i would never have even heard or seen anything about psu in the U.K and trust me if you didnt play it before in the UK then you dont know what it is or if its even a game , a movie or anything ... Its a shame really as they had a huge ass advertising campign for it over in japan ..

Aside from Russians, the Germans are pretty hardcore drinkers too don't forget.

Hmm Japanese do have rice wine (sake?) that they love to get wasted on.

Gurhal's a Prohibitionist system. The only pub around has no booze whatsoever. (The drinks are just painted to the wall, and any kegs you'll find are all filled with sand and bolted to the floor. Also note the lack of drunken emotes aside from the "barf" female cry emote. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif) This alone makes it doubtful that they'd celebrate St Pat's Day. Unless somebody can smuggle in some of those infinite-holding mugs from the Allsburg Bordertown Outpost Tavern or the Kokoto Hunters Guild Tavern...

I don"t know about st. Patrick's day but there IS a White Day decoration in PSU, so I'm wondering if that will become available next month.
