Reply to the monthly meet ups: (was alright but could have been better)
list of problems
1)because this is my first
2)Time zone diffrence (7hrs diffrence from USA to GB)
3)it was out of the blue (it was sudden)
4)NO popular faces?

things to think about
'events'

Yeah. If i'm not there the meet is automatically doomed to fail.

The only other two with such God-Modding abilities like my own are the Ryu/Ryo delicious yaoi pair.

*shrugs* But then again, they scare more people off than they attract people. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

week1 - Parum Cafe
week2 - GAwik's Pub
week3 - by the shrine
week4 - MaKE over Shop or Central Table

also I would like people to people to sudjest a week event like
week 1 - Race (see whoes the fastest from train mission to the waterfalls, ofcourse you have to participate in the mission of your level like for a lv 42 you should do b rank with no npc)

Might I suggest a time change, partly self-interest, but also because quite a few post on the other thread were in regards to people having to work at the time of the meet. I'd propose something around maybe Saturdays at about 3 EST, making it 9 GMT (Or is it 8?). This should make it accessible for both NA and EU sides.

3 PM EST would indeed by 8 PM GMT, and that's definitely a nice, accessible time~ I'd love to get in on a few of these and meet some of you fine people, assuming this really gets going. XP (and, well, try to coerce someone into snapping a shot or two of me with my cannon, *cough* >.>)

Take it from someone who's been holding events.

Weekly is too much. Monthly is fine enough.

And Garnet, I'm not yaoi XD

I definitely think if you do it weekly it should be on the weekend. That way no one has school and it can be at a time the EU players can attend. I am not to sure about doing it weekly but once a month is way too long.

Once a month isn't long. Seriously. If you do it weekly, you'll grow bored of them too quickly. Meets should be treated like holidays. Once a month. -Shrugs.-

Once a week is ok if you have different times so that those who can never make it might have a chance to. Also no more swimsuit or photo meets. kind of stupid. and non of those lets tread through 5 levels to get the meeting place things either. Then again I'm not big on meets so I may not even show up.

Why are you so against weekly?

Anyway, how bout bi-weekly? I'd attend if it worked around a time like that.

Bi-weekly would mean twice a week. I think you mean once every two weeks.

In that case, it would be bi-monthly, which is okay in my opinion. Weekly just seems to tedious.

I don't see how swimsuit or photo meets are stupid. This thread is about meets, so really, you're speaking against everyone who actually enjoys the meets. I've yet to meet someone who thought the meet WAS NOT beneficial in some way.

bi-weekly can actually mead twice a month. my car payments are bi-weekely, once every 2 weeks

and i wouldnt care what the meet is. some people never went to a swimsuit meet, like myself. itd interesting to do at least once. and why not have pics of it! otherwise it didnt happen http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

how bout games, where we place bets. theres /dice and /card, and i thought of some games to play for small amounts of money

/dice - this can be used between 2 people. agree on a bet, 5000, best 2/3 or 3/5, loser pays out http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

or a group game, have 2 /dice rollers. all participants pay into the pot, 1000. then guess what the result will be, 1-12. once all bets are taken roll the dice, the 'banker' pays out to people who guessed it. fun!

/card - lots of card games! texas hold em would be pretty cool, and prolly easiest to do with a group. you just place ur bets right away and that's it. it obviously wont be just like a deck of cards, you do have a chance to get the same one twice in a row. but it doesnt matter does it?

can anyone say CASINO EVENT??

rock paper scissors - put 3 pre-arranged, different looking, weapons on your palette representing rock paper scissors. count 1, 2, 3, then draw a weapon. again bets

just thoughts i had sitting around the HIVE area in the colony of Universe 2. that seems to be the most populated starting area on Uni2. its the best place to hang out cause it has the most people. the more people around the more you'l meet. makes sense right?

Casino Event sounds fine. People like Bridget can actually enjoy such things, instead of crashing events and turning it into one gambling alley. ¬.¬

Casino Swimsuit "Say Cheese" Event? haha http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

ya, i was just joking :/ why not just have a place on the most popular universe at the time, that anyone can just check out for people who want to meet up? its cool to get a bunch of people together, but guys like me are on alot and want to meet normal minded players. i vote for the colony 4th floor, causes its sort of the default location. in front of the HIVE mission has some douchebags, but after a couple blacklistings its not as crazy >.< its really bad. so yeah, that's my proposal. don't dis it, if you dont agree then leave it alone for the next person coming along that does!

Sounds great~ But swimsuits get overplayed if you have them too often XD

Although, if there's an event, you can count on me showing up

I did not say they were stupid. I said they were kind of stupid. Its only an oppinion and besides I most likely won't go to any meets. I don't find it hard to meet people. Try leaving uni 15 since it's dead there anyway.

Yeah I might have to agree. If it's a meet and greet shouldn't it be on the server with the most population at the time i.e. Uni 2?

I went to the last meet and greet and I enjoyed it. But I'm struggling with some personal issues of if I should come back to the game officially.

But Sunday I was running around PSU and I saw a group of players just hanging out on the benches of Space Station in Uni 2 and I was like "hey what's going on?". From what I hear some guy was giving out haxesta to a bunch of players, but the point is that it was a crowd big enough to attract bypassers. I think the meet and greet should be like that.

K, we could spread the word by Mail in Game a fews days before and on the day

I was already trying to create a stronger PC/PS2 community, but I wasn't having weekly meets. I was doing the monthly greets that everyone seems to be disliking.

Monthly is not a bad idea. It's just hard if on the day of the meet people have to work or do somthing so they can not make it. I don't usually have the time to make any meets plus I can't stand certain meets and a lot of them seem to disorganized so I end up losing interest while reading about it.

The organized ones are the ones that have been planned, and are constantly updated with info for people to know.

Ones that are made last minute very rarely pull-through. Weekly may not be bad, as long as it's not a photo meet. Leave those to me ;3
