View Full Version : possible problems with character height affecting targeting

I made a relatively short huscaseal, which can't seem to hit a sorcerer or lily with a sword without going underneath the enemy and losing its target. Later, I made a taller hucast that doesn't seem to have this problem at all-it can use its complete three hit combo without going under the enemy and losing its target. Is this just a different between the classes and their animations or is this a problem related to the height of the characters?

never experience any problem with targeting the enemy.
i use Hand gun more often than sword. maybe i'll try later.
Hunewearl/hucaseal, has different swinging combo style, compared with hucast.

Size doesn't matter in this game. Everyone is created equal.

I think size does matter, I used to have a short hunwearl (just for fun), and I had the same problem with osbourne

To be honest, I never had any problems with heights. It would be a good thing to test with a tiny FOnewearl for fun.
Size DOES matter in PSO. A game where a Z axis is not present is in Guild Wars... but not here.

I wish I would have known that height actually mattered before I fed that huscaseal 45 luck materials. Suppose it's a bit late to remake her after that point though.

I think size affects some weapons. I have a tall Ranger and a short one. Everytime I'm close to an enemy with the tall guy using a launcher weapon such as Guilty Light, the blast usually goes straight. But if I'm close to an enemy with the small female one using a launcher, the blast seems to spazz out and go flying skywards. Pretty funny.

The size of your character makes some minor differences. But nothing worth re-creating over. Smaller characters sometimes have trouble hitting certain enemies with certain weapons when very close. At the same time smaller characters are also harder for certatin enemies to hit while very close.
The answer is simple though. If you're haveing trouble hitting, take a few steps back. Its nothing worth starting over though.

I got 45 luck materials by playing four characters into ultimate-between them there's 600+ hours of playtime. Sadly, most of the materials I tend to find are evasion/defense, which i sparingly use if ever.

45 Luck materials aren't too hard to find.
But this is an interesting question. Try different variations (i.e. different weapons), and you may be able to confirm or ditch your theory.
For instance, try using a pair of twin swords on something with your two different characters, just to see what happens http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif
