A while ago i used to play PSO quite often and eventually quit because of the rampant cheating (ver. 1 for DC). I have heard from friends at school that there is no cheating (yet) on the GC. I am getting the GC version, and am wondering if my 9.99 a month is worth it, so is there cheating in the GC version? If there is not than i will most likely play again. Thanks,

The general consensus is that cheating on the GC is going to be much harder to do. Due to the unique disk format and Nintendo's historical stance against cheat devices, any company thinking about manufacturing and distributing such a device would more than likely be subject to an intense lawsuit. Due to Sega's financial problems, they were never in position to combat cheating on DC PSO with the resources available to larger companies like Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft. The only thing we can do is just have a wait and see attitude.

From what i hear there is no Cheating Device made for GC yet so i guess we are all safe from whats to come I would hate for PSO on GC to go through the whole Sega/Gameshark war that happened on DC....
As far as duping goes i dont know much about it but it seems those old school cheaters are trying to pull everything in the book to be ahead of everybody

i've been hearing that some people have been ripping off others with the old drop trick on new people
thats just sad...thats so wrong..

Is there a place where we pso players can play in peace besides Offline?

You're from Dallas so I'm guessing you probably stop by Animation Town and mess around with their Neo Candies.

I was at A Kon a couple of times with my Neo for people to play games with so chances are I'll be there again this year if things pan out.
