I have just been reading the 'new' threads and a few of them say about how many people are leaveing PSU for WoW or something like that...

I was having a conversation with my mum, and i might be able to play this online in a month or so, but i don't want to if i'm going to be the 1 out of 100 people in total playing. As i USET to play runescape (sigh) i am uset to loads of people being on, and i realy like that. Besides, i'm hyped up about being able to go online with this (hopefully) :s.

Do you think this is al just a romour? or are people really starting to get bored and leave one after the other every 5 seconds? Becuase if so, i don't really want to spend 8-odd pound a month to do the recils or somthing alone, heck, i alredy do! -.-

The population is strong enough that there will always be folks playing, every game has its hardcore followers, PSU isn't any different. I plan to be here till the end of times, my time online will decrease once May rolls around (C&C 3, Mass Effect, Two Worlds), but I will never leave.

P.S. - Unless some serious hacks find their way on to the X360, but I doubt it.

It's not a rumor. Hardly anyone on my friend's list is on anymore, and the server populations have plummeted.

You won't find alot of people but you will have fun with the people you meet.

well, fair to say the answer stands at 1-1 -.-, apart from that 'hardly any of my friends are on anymore', i'm sure it's not that hard to make new ones, or just talk to someone else and do a few missions with them, i'm that kinda guy http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif!

Although i am a bit worryed about going on PSU online, becasue i know for a fact i'm going to have to play around with the settings to make it run faster or something like that (curses computer). And also becasue i know for a fact that within the first few mounths i am gonig to be the ultimate nub for this game =|.

Ya know some (or most) of us are obligated to other things. Geez it's not like paying $10.00 a month even tho you don't play that much is goona burn a hole in your pocket >_>.

Well to be honest, if we have a problem with money, then it seriosuly COULD burn a hole in are pocket.

A lot of the people on PSU are cool though, so if you get some decent friends, it will be just as fun as any other game.

Yeah, as i found with most games, good friends = good game-play.

Wow if $10.00 a month is a problem, then I highly suggest a free MMoRPG alternative.

'like runescape' omg..... EXACTLY! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif. (By the way this is most likely my most sucsesfull thread o.o).

I was watching some youtube vid's of PSU online, and i came acorss one where they are fighting the madiens dad -boss (cba to say his name), and there where 5 of them, 4/5 where attacking the thing, the other girl was simply standing next to it making "OHH" (pornish) sounds rofl XD. It was pc so its ovious she picked the right tone with the right sound command to make that noise XD!!

Well, I just got online two days ago and I can say that I have had no problem finding people to play with, and have even made some good friends. Mostly everyone that has an open game is quite friendly so I think you will have no problem with making friends or finding people to play with.

I agree with RedX, when i play with open games i find they fill up pretty quickly. Also it all depends what area/planet you choose to play on as when the updates roll in people usually spam a certain updated area alot which can sometimes saturate other areas. But yes, in general you wont be short on anyone to play with.

Truthfully it's an up and down population right now. I think you'll find a lot of people only play *a lot at least*, when the server has a big update and there new things to find. I bet you come April - May, you'll start to see a more steady amount of people, cause it'll be hard to keep up with the releases ST has in store.
Also this is only month 4-5 of it's release, so dun worry too much, there will be more content. Final Fantasy has been around for years now and it's still getting new people here and there, the same thing can happen with PSU. It's a word of mouth game, you play, you enjoy, you tell your friends. They play, they enjoy *hopefully* they tell their friends and so on. Patience young grasshoppa :3 <3

To the OP....what system are you playing on?

Cant speak for the others, but the 360 has a large community of people on all hours of tha day. If anything, there has been more people online in recent weeks...

do the tutorial as soon as you get online, not only will you get a free PA, you'll gain a level, and you'll get your first NPC partner card, all while learning how to play.
