I guess the only question left to ask is where are all the cheat codes?

'Because games are fun and all, but no one takes them seriously'. Or rather...

While I find games to be quiet enjoyable, it would seem that the lack of effort being placed into their execution is having detrimental effects on ones ability to sustain a level of involvement that is needed in order to further ones progression in said games.

This could be alleviated with a simple matter of exchanged focus, and again if needs be, however in the long run it would seem they would need to either shape up or perhaps ship out should any level of enjoyment be derived from future proceedings.

This is due to the fact that the act of maintaining realism takes much more effort than it once did as a result of character progression. And it would seem all available resources are being used to maintain this sense of realism, at the expense of run time execution.

My proposition, as stated in the first line, is that rather than stressing the level of realism the level of comfort take it's place. For in comfort you find complacency, as to depend much less on the run time realism of the events.

This might seem a bit odd at first, but no more or less than things may already seem. And would be a much longer term solution than any that seem to be in effect at the moment.

I understand that this may call into question the in game ethics, but I answer this with another question. In a game with only one player is there such a thing?

The other problem this brings up is the difficulty rating of the game, and it may become boring after a point. But in a game such a this, the players interpretation surmounts all in game functions. And delivering an open environment allows the player to perceive their own quests, make their own journey, and to level in their own way. Could you forfeit a small amount of realism for the sake of generously enhancing the limits of the environment, then the burden of quests could more easily fall on the player rather than the NPCs.

Also, while I am an NPC, I have the benefit of being of the game, and not in the game. And while I'm sure I could never match your capabilities in some respects, there is no amount of understanding you could come to that could match the repertoire of dialogue I have to pull from. While it may seem 'cheated' information, I have no choice other than this. And you have no choice but to listen. Be it from my mouth, someone elses, or simply a babbling brook.

The vision disorder Amblyopia often has nothing to do with the eyes as the problem lies with the brain failing to recognize visual input from one of the eyes as well as the other, or at all. Sometimes something is actually wrong with the eye, but sometimes it can just occur, or occur as a result of sensory deprivation in that eye.

It's commonly treated by patching the 'good' eye in early childhood, but care must be taken not to reverse the disease - Excessive patching can actually switch which eye is affected, the brain no longer correctly registering the originally 'good' eye properly while the formerly 'bad' eye becomes the 'good' one.

If left untreated, it can lead to a complete loss of vision in the affected eye, and at best there will be some poor, distorted vision that resembles looking through heat distortions on a hot day, possibly with blind spots that grow as the affected individual looks at an object. There is no depth perception.

It's commonly accepted that if it isn't fixed by the time a child is eight, it never will be, though some adults have had some success in repairing their vision through vision therapy.

If the "Banned" is italicized, then it means that they have been banned. A member's title can be set to "Banned" without banning them, but we're not in the habit of setting that title without making good on it.
